print on the cds

I was wondering if someone could educate me in why there are several different printdesigns on the cd Without a Sound

my cd is white, but I saw the other day one with a dog on. the same dog who’s in the booklet..

sorry for explaing it badly, I meant the cd the cd itself , not the cover..
I uploaded a picture to the album site in the category for posters and merchandise

My WAS cd is black and it doesn’t have a dog on it. I’ve got the one with a bonus disc (Keeblin’).
It’s probably got something to do with the continents. Like the one with the dog is European and the white one is USA or something. Check the small print on the side of the disc. Mine says: Manufactured and distributed by Warner Music Australia

It’s a cool idea to upload some pictures of cd’s to compare. Too bad I can’t.

Oh, the CD itself… looks like your dog CD isn’t the only existing version. Mine has been manufactured in Germany and it looks a bit different:
The CD is just all white CD with the songs written on it in black lettering – like on the pic you uploaded.

Mine is black, songs & edge of disc are silver. Dinosaur Jr is in puple. No dog on mine, Warner Canada distribution, mfg by CINRAM, no bonus disc

I’ve got two versions of Without A Sound, one is the standard european release -white with the tracks written in black. The other is the Australasian tour edition cd w/the Keeblin’ bonus disc -it’s black and I think the songs are written in purple. Though I’m not sure. I’ll upload some pictures during the weekend.

So Simmons, I would say that your version of the cd is a bit out of the ordinary. At least in Europe.

I`ve seen the Keebin deal before;it`s WAS with a bonus cd with 5 songs.

And that KEEBLIN bonus disc contains the same 5 liverecordings as the japanese "feel the pain (live tracks)" cd I’ve got.
