…I installed Mindspring software on my laptop, and my homepage, obviously, is now the Mindspring homepage. When I go to "Options" to try to change it, it’s faded out and I have no option to change the homepage. I removed all Mindspring software and reinstalled IE5.5, but the homepage is still the same and it won’t allow me to change it. I know there HAS to be a way to change it…..could anyone give me directions to do this??

P.S. Mindspring sucks ass.

Try this;
1)Go into controll panel.
2)click the internet options icon
3)Change homepage address.
Thats IT!
p.s:Make sure the General TAB is selected in the internet Options section!
later trav  Hope that worked!

Try Antipop’s idea. But if that doesn’t work, do you still have the option buttons under the homepage setting? ‘Use Current’ ‘Use Default’ ‘Use Blank’

Try hitting one of those and see if it resets the textbox that lets you enter a website…

I’ve tried to find some information on this out on the web. No luck yet… Sounds like mindspring’s uninstaller doesn’t clean up very well.
