Have posted there too
Really hope they can change it in2 something beautiful & worthwhile buyingDecember 4, 2004 at 9:45 am #106419this really sucks! No offense but I wish everything associated with J and Dinosaur wasn’t so lazy– there should be a DVD – who watches videos on CD’s? Merge usually puts out good stuff, my guess is whoever was in charge of compiling everything did a shit job. And its gonna show with shit sales. I buy everything J puts out but i ain’t buying these, no need. Sad but true.. Happy Fucking New Year!
December 4, 2004 at 10:17 am #106420obviously "Show me the way" seems to be a matter of taste…

it’s true, it kinda doesn’t fit with the rest of the record, as well as Poledo, but for me, both songs belong to the record, and it always impressed me how it’s possible to do a cool cover version of a Peter Frampton song

I can’t find the facts on keeblin.com about that song not being on the vinyl version of YLAOM, but it’s true I’ve heard something like that before, either.
December 4, 2004 at 11:10 am #106421I’m totally looking forward to the remastered versions of some of my fav songs of all time!!!
No Bones video…

Shame there isn’t more bonus material, would have loved some demo versions of songs or a bonus live disc
December 4, 2004 at 11:54 am #106422I so enjoy the reissue of 3 Imaginary Boys from The Cure
Thats how it should be done
Some wonderfull live versions, kuli demos & other rarities
Looking 4ward 2 that other reissues of them next yearDecember 4, 2004 at 1:04 pm #106423i agree i mean, show me the way is good i just like.. would prefer it gone, if i want to listen to it ive got the old youre living all over me
i’d really love to have throw down and chunks on there though…
very glad about the keep the glove edition allways wanted it as a bug bonus track and im very excited for that no bones video
December 5, 2004 at 11:32 am #106424Curious about the packaging, liner notes/pics included…any info on that

No Bones video, can’t wait…
December 5, 2004 at 11:48 am #106425Would be cool if it came with a booklet with liner notes by murph, lou and j.
I am hoping for that. A lot.December 5, 2004 at 3:25 pm #106426The first thing I noticed was the omission of Show Me the Way. What’s with that? Maybe Mr. Frampton got a little greedy?

I’d love to see all the old videos but wouldn’t a dvd make more sense? I’ll probably break down and get YLAOM and Bug just because the sound quality on those old SST cds leaves much to be desired. Oh well…December 5, 2004 at 3:55 pm #106427very disapointing… if the track listing is being put out then those things are pretty much done. do you guys really think theres gonna be some huge booklet with lots of liner notes and stuff???
yeah right.
bummer

But I got to hope. Or at least I’m trying to hope.
December 5, 2004 at 9:33 pm #106429i’m afraid everyone has their take on what these releases should be…
but i think J (tho’ i really dont know) is just trying to fill a void for the stuff thats no longer on the market.
i think the great dvd of dinosaur jr-w/ videos and live shows and tidbits of historical importance are for the not near future or never
just my take

them. Sounds good to me so far.December 5, 2004 at 11:36 pm #106431…and wait, and wait, and wait. you cant fill some sort of void with a crappy record. if you cant get the hardcore fans into it how the hell are you gonna get anyone else to buy it? then theyll just fade away like the old records did… dont get me wrong , ill still buy em, id still buy them even if they were just remastered and nothing else just to see what j did in the remastering will be interesting enough, but…
December 6, 2004 at 11:26 am #106432The records sounds quite primitive, almost no "neverheardbefore" material. Anyway, i dont own ylaom so ill probably buy it.
I think they should release a DVD box full with rare things instead of trying to combine the old pieces of art with b-sides. There usually are reasons why artists/labels drop songs from albums.. -
