The only ones I have ever seen are the major scale. He sometimes playes the penatonic minor but it is relative to the major scale. So for a song in gmajor he plays the e minor penatonic but all of those notes are in g major too. And than on songs like get me he plays c major. Otherwise he puts a capo on and plays the same formation but just moved up for the capo.

Great Topic – is there a website that has the scales?

I used to practice this stuff when I was taking lessons, but I don’t have the scales anymore.

                  Thats a really great site

From figuring out alot of J’s solos they were nearly all the G-Major scale or that scale moved up. What scale is the gargoyle solo in? I really like improvising on that scale.

the best one that I have found is http://jguitar.com/”>http://jguitar.com/

The site has a scale and a chord calculator so you can find any scale or chord you want. You can also write tablature for a chord and it will name it. It’s a friggin nice site.

                          E minor doesn’t have an F# or a C I don’t think.

The pentatonic wouldn’t but the natural minor would.

When I first saw this link, I thought it was for a site exclusively for J, and his guitar setup.

Can you blame me? Really? It IS called Jguitar.

I’m surprised no one noted this yet.
