Heard on AG that Sebadoh split,anyone else hear anything about this?Jason Lowenstein now works in a record store,not sure what Lou is doing.

I bought the JLo <img> album ‘At sixes and sevens’ today, it’s a very fine album, 14 fine songs in 41 minutes, a little more rocking than Sebadoh, and: ‘the songs, instrument playing, vocals, engineering, production and cover design by Jason Loewenstein’

I saw a Sinitroh (I’m sure I butchered the spelling) Album in the record store the other day that had a 2002 copyrite on it. Does anyone know if that’s a new Lou Barlow album or just a re-release of old stuff? I almost picked it up but couldn’t remember the names of the songs on the Sinitroh album I already have. Anyway, I liked Sebadoh a lot and am sorry to see them go. Is the Folk Implosion going to do stuff still? Their last album was really good.

Sentridoh is just Lou Barlow by himself. Mostly acoustic, noise, four track stuff. More like real old seBADoh is, Though I haven’t heard the new album yet so I can’t say for sure what it sound like. I do think It’s about time Sebadoh broke up though, their last two albums were terrible(but that’s just my opinion, and what the hell do I know anyway).

You can read an unenthousiastic review here. Last thing I heard about the Folk Implosion is that it’s going to be a "real band", consisting of Lou and three "new" guys.

O.K.. Maybe Lou needs to realize he can not do this all on his own… The Folk Implosion stuff is pretty good, but it is no Sebadoh..

A little more sensible review can be found here, there are some funny links in that review as well, try the ‘Jesus’ one and be surpised… <img> , try the ‘Dinosaur Jr’ one, and don’t be surprised…. <img>

I agree with Overexposed,the last 2 Sebadoh albums really bad.
I don`t care much for the Folk Implosion,another one of those bands I should like but don`t.
A good Sentridoh album is this one:
