As far as solos go, I don’t tab them, because I don’t bother to figure them out. I improv all my solos (as does J it seems.) However, I’m always willing to except donations, if you want to contribute, let me know and I’ll be sure to give you full credit if I decide to use your stuff…

Great idea! I’m trying to figure out Dino solo’s myself ones a while and I would love to make a site with a collection of tabs, including solo’s (there not to many sites that features solos as well). Maby we can set something up if you’d like…

I know what you mean. J’s solo’s are hard to copy, beacause of all the weird stuff he does and the heavy distortions. I would like to make a contribution to you site! I’ll have to tab the solo’s that I’ve figured out already, that will take some time. When they’re done, i’ll send them by e-mail!

What songs do you already have tabbed out? I’d really like to have the tab for What Else Is New. A full tab for Start Choppin’ would also be nice, and there are others. Most of the time I just look for tabs on the net for songs that I like. I almost never tab songs out myself (lazy, I know), except for the very simple songs. But maybe I could start working on a couple of songs. I’ll start with the two songs I already mentioned, that is if nobody has them already. It won’t work probably, but hey, maybe I can give you guys something to start with.

I haven’t actually tabbed anything at the moment. But I know how to play ‘what else is new’ by heart, including solo’s. I was planning to tab this song for Mattman’s site anyway, so that song will be available soon…

I’ve figured out the solo’s of ‘green mind’ and ‘Over your shoulder’ and since they’re my favourite!

Start choppin’ is a hard one, but I’ll see what I can do!

I would like to see those tabs deep and furry! It sounds cool that you tabbed the solos.
I must say that I have recived fuc*/*ing great tabs by deepsludge to my page! And from a guy called brian pruvost (anybody knows who that is on the freakscene mailing list?). It’s nice to get them cause my tabs are often shit.

Anyway I think that we should collect all the best tabs on to one page and put the link here on freakscene. So that everyone can find the tabs easier. Some sort of subpage to freakscene.

Oh yeah, I would just love this too, though I guess for some songs it would be tough to pick which is the best tab. Often I’ve found that different tabs have different parts of them that seem most accurate, but it should nevertheless be possible pull this off.

Hey Deepsludge, I agree 100% on what u said about tab being just a raw way to get the feel of the thing. Seeing other people’s tabs can be quite useful though, I’ve often figured out tunes to the point where it sounds alright but still lacks something. Getting hold of a good tab can then put the pieces together completely. Whether or not it’s exactly the way J (or whoever) plays it is not too important, if the feel is right, I’m pleased. I’m not too interested in copying leads, guess I find it more fun to just improvise (it may also be bcuz I’m lazy), I mostly just wanna get the chords/riffs straight.
