Slim’s 6/8/04 – Photos

Hey Kids,

I would have posted these photos sooner. However, the events that followed the Slims show can be described as the ‘perfect storm’ which consisted of 14 hour work days, my birthday, my daughter’s birthday + her graduation (w/ honors) from eight grade, and to top it off, my yenta Mother payed us a visit! Oy!

Please forgive me, I was very tired on the evening of June 8, and thank God Evan Dando wasn’t in the audience. Half way into the J + Fog set, my camera had a battery failure.

This show was simply amazing. Really good chemistry between Dave, Kyle, & J. For those who were feeling a little under the weather (you know who your are), fear not…the show was video taped.

Hey OSX, thanks for those pictures, they are amazing – I can feel the vibrations of the music coming at me with full force (thanks for the many other great "music pics" on your fantastic site as well !).
It´s cool to see that Dave actually plays the same Rickenbacker bass Lou used for his Dinosaur days…. (I read that Lou sold his Rickenbacker after a Sebadoh show in 1991).

Thanks OXO, have you seen the topic under Dinosaur JR/Mascis 101, where we are searching for Jwith Elf Power Pics. Brian Poole from Elf Power has copies but can’t locate them at the moment.
It seems the original post of the photos came from you, does that ring any bells. Thank you for these photos and congratulations on you daughters honors at school. My children’s education is my most important investment at this time, worth more than the house and the car and the mutual funds.

I just sent a message to Jason Kau (the cat who posted the elf power / j mascis pics), he is on holiday until the end of June.

As soon as I find out what going on, I’ll let you know.
