June 8, 2005 at 10:58 am #109955I never heard of them doing mountain man live before. WHo sang it, cause I thought murph sang that song
June 8, 2005 at 12:23 pm #109956they used to play it in the 80s. i know that they kinda switch off vocals in that song but ive never seen it live/seen any videos of it live so i allways wondered if that mysterious voice actually WAS murph cause he is credited as a vocalist on the back of dinosaur.

That’s a good one !

But what sort of puts me down is that too many people just rely on the taper’s work instead of going out and record shows themselves – it’s no big deal buying a MD or DAT recorded and a decent mic… and get started.
Everybody just wans to have a piece of cake, but nobody wants to bake it… in a way. Recording shows is a real hassle – you have to keep quiet, not dance around otherwise you’ll f%ck up the recording, try to get past the security staff and sneak your gear in, worry about recording levels, transfer all the stuff, travel etc. and nobody appreciates.June 11, 2005 at 7:21 am #109964"ChrisSmall" wrote:Quote:they did mountain man last night and j did the singing …Really? Just to clarify: it WAS Lou who sang it. J just "spoke-sang" the final "I’m a Mountain Man" (when the band stopped playing) before the last chord. Oh, and Lou played his firebird bass for this song since he broke a string on his Rickenbacker before.
