I worked in the film business in "post production" for several years, you know
people like us were expected to "fix it in the mix", I remember saying once "but there is nothing to fix" nothing makes my blood pressure rise higher than thinking about recording things in which there is no option for a second take.I rather set my hair on fire and then put it out with a pitchfork than go to a show and try to record under those conditions.

Anyway, if it helps any of you budding recordists, there are some of us in a whole other hemisphere who, at this stage, have no prospect of catching the reunion live. So, yeah, we appreciate everything you do so much. And if it’s not perfect, well, it’s usually got its own unique atmosphere.

But what sort of puts me down is that too many people just rely on the taper’s work instead of going out and record shows themselves – it’s no big deal buying a MD or DAT recorded and a decent mic… and get started.
Everybody just wans to have a piece of cake, but nobody wants to bake it… in a way. Recording shows is a real hassle – you have to keep quiet, not dance around otherwise you’ll f%ck up the recording, try to get past the security staff and sneak your gear in, worry about recording levels, transfer all the stuff, travel etc. and nobody appreciates.I am relying on the tapers work because I am in the US and they are overseas. I have listened to the SPaceland show hundreds of times and I would like some new Dino to listen to.
I want the cake, and I want to eat it too, and I would love to hear some new Dino.I think we’ll have a better turn-around on promptness for the US dates.
sometimes its difficult for me to not be a dick. i love dinosaur, i love anyone who is taping dinosaur. i would never tape a dinosaur show because i would never want that much of my attention focused on something else at the time. i hope, in spite of my obvious intellectual and emotional shortcomings, that everyone here knows of my willingness to help in any of these type of endeavors at any time.
… speaking of which… uh, anthony did ya get my message concerning the dvd’s? just wondering.
