yeah, what’s up w/that staring thing he does ? that’s a bit weird … … it’s like he’s super focused on what you’re saying … it’s kind of off putting actually :D

is luisa like that as well ? or does she actually string sentences together ? :D

I didn’t talk to Luisa that night but she is usually a little easier to talk to.

I have been so busy and so pregnant and so hot that Freakscene has been so far removed from my daily list of "to do’s". I thought I would chime in on my Amma experience. We have a handful of friends that follow her around. Two friends have gone to India to stay for several weeks at a time. One, Laura Rose lives with Amma and comes to Athens just to see family. My good friend Moses Siregar brought back a wonderful photgraph of Amma for me, she is playing a drum and has a wonderful smile on. I think that I have no desire to stand in a line and be hugged by her although all hugs, real ones you know with chakra exchange type of energy, are wonderfully healing, as I know her hugs must be.. I think it is a calling. I see her beautiful Mother energy coming through and that is an inspiration. The same inspiration I get by hanging out with the Virgin Mary, the Blessed Mother, Mother of Divine Grace. I think female Mother energy has been so lost in this wacky material world and I think for me Amma represents "Getting down to what is really real" As for the stare thing, I know some folks get really tired of Astrological stuff but I had to laugh out loud at Rambleon’s question "Yeah, Whats up with that staring thing" because, everyday we hear some other child complain that Anna is staring at them. Even the adults in my life have asked me "Why does she sit and stare at you without saying a world" I have never read anything in an atrological book that says that December children are more prone to staring but it has been an issue at this house. I think the stare is just an observation without restraint. How many times in life to we observe and then turn away, like when we see someone suffering but do nothing. How many times to we observe and then forget like when in prayer I hear the voice of God, or my higher power, what ever you want to call it, telling me to stop drinking coffee in the moring, and I think to myself that is a good idea at the same time running to get my coffee first thing in the morning. Perhaps the stare is just an observation.

I didn’t say she sits in stares I said J just stares at me when I talk to him like I am speaking another language sometimes.

hey annastefka … i hear what you’re saying, but i suppose it’s the intensity of the stare that threw me  … anyhow … my meditation teacher is kind of like that too, so i guess deep down i somehow know that it has more to do w/being an attentive listener (which is a good thing !) more than anything else … + i guess in today’s day + age we are not used to people paying that close attention to what we’re saying … + also, w/o realizing it, we are also used to people reacting a bit to what we’re saying while we’re saying it, rather than them having the patience for us to end what we’re saying + then react … so i guess for me it was a little off-putting … like harsh + maybe a defense machanism which kind of says, "don’t get too close to me" … you know ?

I said that others complain that Anna (the child that stays with us) sits and stares, not J. Sorry, if I wasn’t clear because I was writing at 3am. My son had screamed in his bed and when I went to check on him he was so upset and shaking. He told me someone had taken his coins from his piggy bank and he needed help catching the theives. When I tried to tell him he was dreaming he denied that. He said it was real and was sooooo upset. Alas he went back to bed and I was left awake.

Yes, I think he makes good eye contact but as rambleon said he may be very present with you and that is a good thing or it could be a defense mechanism also because we find that with Anna alot also. Her parents are living in two different states and she doesn’t get much time with them. Sometimes I think her stares are about not getting to close, or not asking to many personal questions.

hey ammaringnyc … did amma say anything to you when you hugged her ? did she give you a token present ?

She said mamamamamamamamamama and gave me a rose petal and a hershey’s kiss. You are allowed to ask her for a personal mantra to meditate with and I was going to but when I got up to her I was too overwhelmed.
