Whatever linup doesn’t matter. I don’t know if we can do a poll or how the best way to keep it tabulated would be maybe anthony could help but I would like to have a cd or 2 with the best version of every song they have done live. By best I mean a combination of the quality of recording, I don’t wan’t anything under like an 8 or 9 in quality. I would like to arrange them in album order and maybe I could mess with them and kind of master them and make the volume kind of consistant and have good start and stop editing. So if anyone has any votes on the best just like heaven or wagon or any song let me know. As I said maybe a poll would be best but it is subjective. Some songs like leper or forget the swan are definately going to be from this tour and never bought it is definately going to be with George and Mike but other songs like Freak Scene have been played by ever linup.
June 1, 2006 at 1:31 pm #117908I’ve thought about doing this before using all of the various bootlegs and b-sides in my collection.
So is Fog stuff fair game or just Dino lineups? If Fog, I’d say the version of "Alone" from eMusic: Live a Maxwell’s gets my vote.
I’ll also vote for Forget the Swan from this year’s Indianapolis show assuming the recording quality is good enough on FreeSoFree. I haven’t taken the time to download it yet.
June 1, 2006 at 9:22 pm #117909I agree with the alone. I put it up on freesofree. I was at the show and saw them recording it and was hoping it would appear one day and than I tried the free trial of emusic and found it a couple years later. I remember standing there hearing alone and it wa sthe first time in a long time I was like oh my god thats freakin crazy. I think it was because it was the first time J used the line 6 digital delay but anyway it was crazy. And yeah the fog is definately fair game. I pretty much mean the best live version of every J song.
June 1, 2006 at 11:38 pm #117910So from what I have and freesofree. It looks like there are like 28 songs from all the dino records and whatever’s cool + more light and free so free that there is no version of. Most I don’t think they ever played but some like mind glow I know they did but there is no copy around. So it looks like a total of like 91 for my project including some of the live covers.

June 2, 2006 at 10:02 am #117912Are you going to include acoustic performances like "Not You Again" and "Throw Down" from the CBGB’s show? I assume so. What are the songs there’s no record of?
June 2, 2006 at 10:13 am #117913Yeah accoustic stuff is fair game. I don’t have my sheet with me but mind glow, poledo, muck, pebbles and weeds, I don’t think, yeah right, mick, basically alot of without a sound and a few off of hand it over weren’t played.

Maybe we never got the recording of that…
Edit: Looks like FSF doesn’t have that one. I thought it was up for some reason.
June 2, 2006 at 11:04 am #117915nope, I wish I can’t believe no one recorded it. Well I am sure Ajay recorded it but he won’t share.
June 3, 2006 at 1:04 pm #117916I’d love to hear that show. Poledo live!
