Hey SG, thanks for the warm welcome. Ah yes, the High St reference. I actually remember this conversation. How cool is that? Has it really been 8 years? Let’s see, I was still in college during the days of AudioGalaxy, and I graduated in ’02…Holy cow, look at my joined date, it has!

Robert, I think you’re reading too much into this one, not meant in any way to diminish the validity of your telepathic abilities…Let’s just call it a “freak” occurrence, but you’re more then welcome to keep trying, HA!

Ah girl, and the radiator. Yes, it has been recycled for scrap. I think you would be sane compared to this guy.

So yeah, I don’t post much. I only occasionally surface and add my 2-cents here and there, but not very much anymore. I don’t know, I guess I get sick of writing stuff and having it disappear when I try to submit it. That, and trying to keep up with some of these posts is almost impossible. And time, I sure wish I had more to spend, but there’s never quite enough is there?
I know a lot of people are going to curse me for this, but I don’t listen to Dino much anymore. I don’t know, just sort of been there, done that. So my time spent checking in on a Dino site is minimal. I’ll definitely be at the shows when they come to my side of town though!!!!
So, I would have to agree about the philosophy of dogs (and animals in general), but at the end of day, they’re still pit bulls.
In my county, you have to have a 6ft high fence that is locked at all times. If you walk them, they must be muzzled, and you have to have $100,000 in liability insurance in case they attack and maim someone. If he let’s them roam the neighborhood, he’s breaking the law and I doubt he has the insurance. It’s OK right, they’re just a few pitbulls right?
OK, so I moved in and dude lets his dogs go in my yard. Now if I’m outside, he makes a big stink about it and comes over and tells the dog “no” and cleans it up. But after a while, I notice there is way more poo in my yard then my mutt is putting out. 2 times a day x 7 days a week = 14 last time I checked. Not 42.
So I say to him one day “Look, I would really appreciate it if your dogs quit using my yard. I’m tired of cleaning up the mess.” “OK” he says.
So now when he sees me out his dogs are ordered to stay in his yard. But the math still just isn’t right.
Well, I start realizing his dogs are coming over at other hours of the day when he thinks no one is looking. So again, I confront him. “Look, I’m tired of cleaning up your dogs’ mess, you need to keep them in your yard. By the way, are you aware you’re breaking the law? If this continues, you’re going to force me to take further action.”
So the one night my fiancé (now wife) is out back when she comes in and says, his dogs are in our yard again. Enough is enough, I walk out on the back porch and this dog squares up on me, starts growling and showing its teeth. I start yelling at it and chase it into his yard. This time, I’m in his face. “You’re breaking the law, you need to erect a fence, I’m calling animal control. If you’re dog is ever in my yard again…”
So a week or two later, I’m outside early in the morn looking at stars, and guess what is in my yard? “HEY #$%$#%$#%, get your $#%$ dog out of my yard!”
So this got escalated to the animal control, it got escalated to the neighborhood committee. This went on for almost a year. Finally, finally, this dipstick puts up a fence.
You tell me…am I really wrong here? I guess I’m just tired of people who go through society taking from it but not contributing to it. For this thing to work, we all need to make that conscientious effort to be wary and considerate of our fellow man and each do our part. I guess I try to live my life in such a way as not to interfere with someone else’s. But if you start interefering with mine…
So what else you all know?

Congrats on the marriage

Neighbour problems is something I know about but I`m not going into any details about. We try our best to get along but sometimes we just can`t.Husker Du said ‘tell me about your fellow man,you wipe their shit all over your hands’
it`s the truth. It`s not all peace and love out there but hey we tryI`m not going to give a hard time over not being into Dino as much. It`s been 18 years since I first heard them and 16 since I bought my first album by them.I still enjoy them but it seems normal that we come and go with bands sometimes. You still want to see them live that`s cool

Cool avatar by the way

And why oh why is the simple act of being a considerate human being such a foreign concept to some? I completely sympathize with you both, Kurticus and SG. Last month when I was at the beach in Maine, I picked up a local newpaper and read about a man who shot and killed a 21 year boy who he had an ongoing feud with over his yard. Can you imagine that?! A life was taken. His parents will never get to tell him they love him ever again. He doesn’t get the luxury of ever seeing another day. And now every day the man who pulled the trigger gets to see will be through a set of metal bars. Sad.
August 4, 2009 at 2:08 pm #132830I’m truly happy you’re happily married Kurticus
Further evidence that things work out nicely for good lads.
Needless to say I’m pleased to hear that your neighbour finally put up a fence to keep his dogs away from your yard + other people. Also, say what you will about my telepathic powers, but from where I’m sitting they seem to be working just fine.
As for the logging out business, follow Salami Guy’s advice and you’ll be safe.
I hadn’t listened to Dino for about year until Farm showed up, so I’m not going to give you any grief for that.
Oh wait, I’d been listening to the Take A Run At The Sun 12".
+ it really doesn’t disqualify you from keeping us company here. Far from it.
You have been missed.*uses the force to ensure that Kurticus pops by here on a more regular basis from now on*
