blatty ‘s the exorcist
February 28, 2009 at 5:04 pm #82425The last book I read was skinny legs and all.
It was too close to life to handle. Add that up with a couple of overdoses and you’ve got yourself a nice space for panick mode.March 1, 2009 at 11:25 am #82426I’ve been reading Sex Money Kiss by Gene Simmons. Its all about his philosophies on life. Dude’s all about money. He has some good ideas though I might try to get a head a little.
Only reason I’m reading it is because I got an autographed copy for free.
March 1, 2009 at 11:45 am #82427Did he give it to you in person, or were you lucky enough to get it through the mail or any other way that
wouldn’t necessitate(sp?) being very close to him ?
That guy is scary !March 1, 2009 at 1:54 pm #82428A friend of mine got a promo copy at work. No one at the paper liked KISS. Knowing I was a huge KISS fan he gave me the book to add to my memorabilia collection. Thats how I came across an autographed copy of the book.
March 2, 2009 at 8:37 am #82429a) I am very intrigued by the phrase ‘memorablilia collection’ and would very much like to see a photograph
of said collection.
b) Glad to hear that the book ended up somewhere it would be appreciated.
And at the risk of pissing you off/sounding like a jerk/hurting your feelings, I’m glad you didn’t have to meet him, the guy is seriously scary looking. Last year while I was living in a sort of, well lets call it a brothel because that was pretty much what it was, in Barcelona, someone showed me a…candid camera production starring Mr Simmons. Scary shit.March 2, 2009 at 9:58 am #82430Ha dude don’t sweat it, you won’t hurt my feelings.
I was always a casual KISS fan, I liked the characters as a kid but my mom wouldn’t let me own a KISS record or have one of the dolls. When the original 4 reunited in ’96 I went to a show and was hooked. I started buying all sorts of memorabilia and pretty much anything I could get my hands on that was KISS.
That being said my collection sits in a series of boxes tucking away in a closet because my wife thinks KISS is hideous. Hopefully someday I will find a space to give my collection the glorious display it deserves. Someday…..
In the meantime my Dinosaur Jr collection (of shirts, setlists, tour posters, picks, etc) is becoming somewhat glorious in itself. I am going to have to find some more room to give this stuff a glorious display as well.
Or maybe these are all just pipe dreams…..
March 2, 2009 at 10:21 am #82431All hail the pipe dreams !
Also, I feel I must compliment you on your wife, she sounds like a great woman

I do hope you’ll get enough space to enjoy it though, sad to have it collecting dust in a closet.Where have you been able to find dino posters ?
I’ve been on ebay all year(granted the year isn’t that old yet,) trying to find some. El zilcho.Today I got the Take A Run At The Sun 12" in the mail though, that sucker has eluded me for years, but finally it’s all mine.
Not to mention, upon cruising the web I found out that you owe us pictures of a certain weezer happening that included you !
