What a load of shit <img> there`s alot of really good albums there and he justs tears them up <img> there`s alot of critics that hate YLAOM so I`m not surprised.Get rid of my Dino collection?YEAH RIGHT! <img>
we were talking about that on another list and decided it must just be a joke or somebody’s way to get a lot of hits to their site, because most of those albums are really great. i mean the guy says that you shouldn’t get Derek and the Dominoes "Layla", you should get a greatest hits comp instead. that’s gotta be satire.

If you read the first page that has the intro on it, you can sense a bit of irony in their tone. But that’s a pretty typical tone with sites like that. However, there was a lot of stuff on that list that really is shit. Stuff like Counting Crows and Hole. And No Doubt–it’s a given that they suck.
That list was mentioned on the Mike Watt list as well, I think it was part ironic/part serious, had some good laughs reading it…..

DB-thanks for the Sunday Herald link,I like that list except for a few(Tiny Tim <img> Meatloaf <img> )and found it interesting they would pick Coltrane`s Meditations over his other albums or REM`s Green over their early albums.
My favorite is that "all live albums suck". He’s just trying to get people mad. I mean there are worse Rancid discs than …And Out Come the Wolves, but he goes for the critically acclaimed one.
Yeah, I think I’ll keep my own council on what I think "sucks", and what I think does not. <img>
Daydream Nation and Zen Arcade are on there too… Does this guy even have ears???
I don’t even know where to start with this one. i’m not sure I even like the idea that someone thinks you should take out of your collection albums that suck, since they all would have something you liked about it to own it in the first place.
I agree with everyone that it seems like the guy is just trying to start stuff or get hits.Chris
