Continuation of our safe but cool thread about what song you’re listening to right now at this specific point in space/time….
It’s a given we will all be listening to Tell The Truth by J on repeat for…how many more days
But I’m playing this as well
Alone In The Endzone by Radio Birdman

September 2, 2002 at 11:01 pm #73949It’s weird how my "songs of right now" are rarely if ever from, RIGHT NOW.
For those of you who don’t speak Jaron, I mean they’re not current songs. Albums sit around my apartment for months if not years before I ever listen to them. New Coldplay and QOTSA albums? Ask me in March, I haven’t put them in my CD player yet.
I think my song of right now is the Lost Highway soundtrack. If any particular track, "I’m Deranged (edit)" [Bowie] or "Videodrones: Questions" [Reznor].
September 2, 2002 at 11:04 pm #73950Did anyone see that Harry Potter movie? Doesn’t Alan Rickman look a hell of a lot like Trent Reznor?

September 3, 2002 at 11:41 am #73951Jaron-I know what you mean by albums sitting around for a long time,I have cd`s that I bought 5 years ago that I have`nt listened to yet.
September 3, 2002 at 3:59 pm #73952Oo, oo, I like that one by the Vines, a lot. Even if MTV did smoosh them together with that black-suited band at the awards. Because, you know, all the hip young groups have to stick together.
And p.s., it’s not Guns N’ Roses without Slash.

RosaSeptember 3, 2002 at 6:35 pm #73953Flaming Lips-Do Ya Realize
followed of course by Tell The Truth by J
I usually listen to my new cd’s for about a week straight when I get them, can’t think of one that I haven’t done that with…except modulate by Bob Mould, once was enuf:eek:
I like that black suited band…

Buckethead and the guy from NIN look cool, though.
September 4, 2002 at 2:01 am #73956We’ve agreed before, bastard. That’s why you hate me so much
And seriously. Someone please tell me what the black-suited band is named? I’ve completely forgotten. I think I blocked it out with my aniticipation of the Vines. Plus, I thought the Mick Jagger prancing was kind of embarassing (no offense).

RosaSeptember 4, 2002 at 12:19 pm #73957The Hives. Personally I think they are allot more fun than the Vines, Vines disc was the last CD I bought that I don’t like. Only a couple of rockers on it, just my opinion. Hives rock hard and constantly.
Been listening to Sleater-Kinney’s One Beat constantly. Favorite song would be "Combat Rock".
September 4, 2002 at 3:40 pm #73958I’m with a certain Steelers fan here, The Hives kick ass!!! I know what your saying about the jagger strutting bit , but The Hives have absolutely nothing to be emBEARassed about, more like a tribute with a sense of humor kind of thing. Hellacopters use a lot of MC5/Sonic Rendezvous Band posturing while they play…same deal there, maybe its a Swedish thing

Now, I shall post my wallpaper until you go away.

September 4, 2002 at 9:45 pm #73960Wow, your girlfriend’s hot. Try again, Whiny McPumpkin.
September 5, 2002 at 9:35 am #73961Not sure at the mo, the Vines rock, hard and soft!
The hives yup, saw them at the Brixton acadamy and were absolutly amazing, just hope they dont turn into one trick monkeys if thats the right saying?!
Flaming lips very poor Neil Young rip off, I reckon he needs to cheer up a bit!
The record i cant get enough of is Smashing Pumpkins Gish, had it when it came out, loved it then after siamese dream thought they went a bit downhill. Just rediscovered those albums not exactly cheery but they rock.September 5, 2002 at 12:05 pm #73962I think the ‘Lips sound less than Neil Young than J does.
