Whaddya think of their other material? I’m really on the fence as to weather I should get anymore of their stuff or not, I’ve had Twice Removed and I can only get into a few songs but, those song are very worthy. I like to pop this in to "cool down" with some minimalist music after a good, long Beatles listen. Reminds me that music doesn’t necessarily have to have complex arrangements or high production values to be good.
And, now that you say it, I can hear some Monkees in there……Cheer up sleepy Gene…..

"Underwhelmed", from their first album "Smeared" is one of my all-time favourite songs (although it’s more MBV than powerpop….), their album "One Chord To Another" is also great, pure powerpop at its best, found it in a bargain bin (with a free "Sloan Party" bonus disc, which features a great Canned Heat/Stereolab medley 8))…..

back to topic, more Canadian powerpop:

the New Pornographers – The bones of an idol

Smeared is ok but like Bucky said more MBV and indie sounding. One Chord To Another really goes the Beatles mile with retro production(the same recording board that was used on Abbey Road was used I heard) and some good tunes.I kinda lost them after that.
Hey did you notice that Worried Now has almost the exact same opening as Little Fury Things with the tom roll on the drums?I swear they sampled Murph :D
