…heard a glimpse of Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust for life’ during the commercials in the halftime of yesterday’s football (the soccer variety) game of Feijenoord Rotterdam against the Norwegian team ‘Odd Grenland’
, it was probably some phone company’s ad, but I was reading a book at the same time (the game was quite boring to say the least… 
) , so I don’t know for sure…. The Hives Walk Idiot Walk was played during The Mighty BEARS game sunday. They played it while the referee waked to the replay cam…
on german tv, currently there is an ad for a chocolate bar (called duplo) with a song that sounds much like the White Stripes.
but, if you try to find out who sings the song & what it is called, you find hundreds of forum entries in dozens of different forums on the ‘net, where thousands of people ask each other, does anyone know that song??? who sings it??? I know!!! it’s the White Stripes!!! no, stupid, that’s the only thing we know, it’s not the White Stripes!!!" etc etc
looks like it’s a song by an unknown band written especially for the ad, but all these thousands seem to be willing to buy the record…

after hearing/seeing the ad I don’t understand why they can’t just listen to ‘fell in love with a girl’ by the white stripes, since it’s allmost a blueprint of that song.
