      Malc-that reminds me,a guy on the radio said he saw Fred Frith play with a paint brush then take weather stripping and smash it around on the strings 8)
      There was a local band here that the bass player played with a steak knife :!:
      Doo Rag from Arizona played old country blues songs on homemade mutant guitars and banged on sheet metal for percussion.

        Thats Freddy. :)

        He’d do other weird things too, like weaving a bunch of clarinet reeds under the strings and pulling them out.

        And doesn’t mercury rev invent some instruments?

          Mercury Rev has the singing saw 8) another local band had a guy playing the saw,that was cool.

            I saw a guy play a saw in a very small town in Minnesota…Starbuck :aliensmile: Don’t remember the name of the band though, w/e concert with about 20 different groups…Grant Hart was the main attraction :!: The saw was cool for awhile, surprised by the sounds that came from it :shock:
