Hey gang, my brother told me (and showed me) that the opening of Let It Ride is best played with a G5 chord (xxx553) instead of a G. I also have have a good idea of a better way to play the verse, but I’ll need to wait until I have my guitar again to test it out for sure.
January 8, 2007 at 5:03 am #113839does anyone have not you again tabbed?
January 9, 2007 at 8:19 am #113840okay, i figured the verse out, its simple D, then D again but on the 9th fret.
January 9, 2007 at 11:14 am #113841Have you ever been on this site before: http://hem.passagen.se/animen/tabs/dinosaur

January 9, 2007 at 11:54 am #113842thanks!!!
those are greatJanuary 9, 2007 at 12:59 pm #113843haha some of them really aren’t that great but some are and they’re always a good place to start.
January 9, 2007 at 1:30 pm #113844Yeah you’re right Sam. That Out There tab that was suggested to me from that site was all screwed up. The capo on the 3rd fret was about the only right thing on it.
Once you’ve played Dinosaur Jr songs for a while you notice J has favorite chords and a specific style. This Out There tab was tabbed playing in a way that J totally wouldn’t play it like. I ended up figuring it out on my own, how I thought J would play it and it sounds rad.
But I digress….. some of the tabs there are spot on.
January 9, 2007 at 1:41 pm #113845I know what you mean about the Out There tab, some songs are just easier to figure out yourself.
When I first tried tabbing out No Bones it went really bad but after I’d tabbed out alot of other stuff I started to play it how I thought J would play it like you said and it took about 2 minutes. That F chord shape J moves up and down the fretboard features in alot of songs and used to be the chord that I never used to be able to figure out but all is good now i think

Some of the tabs on that page should just be deleted though considering how bad they are

Hopefully I’ll get it[pre]The Wagon (Listen for exact Strumming)
