This tab is good for the Post, not sure if you want the solo, it’s a bit messy :D. It wouldn’t be hard to figure out though if u wanted it, but the timing would be hard to learn

I keep meaning to figure out more tabs for you guys but i’ve got exams and shit coming up so I havn’t had time. I have most of They Always Come but again with most dino songs there’s one chord that throws me off.

                Hey alicemudgarden_jr,

I’m going to two Dinosaur Jr shows next week and I’m going to at least try to get to the front to see if I can watch J play as close as possible, are there any songs that you would want me to pay close attention to, maybe I will be able to figure out any certain chords to songs you may not know. Not that I can guarantee anything but its worth a shot.

yeah, i’m seeing them in april and i’m going to try to keep an eye on Jay when he’s playing. one of them is Freak Scene.

i know its 5320xx, Em, then A with some hammer-on or pull-off note.

Cheers Malkmus, thats really cool, I tried to get a look at J’s chords on a few songs when I saw them but it was a festival and I was too far back. Yeh, I’d really like Freakscene and the parts I don’t have for In A Jar but I think it would be pretty hard for you still to be certain….. I hope when the DVD comes out theres some close ups on J guitar so we can see wat he’s playin, cheers for effort

I think I’ve finally sussed the verse for raisans now and the slow part where that guy talks shit over it so I’ll post those up asap

Heres some of They Allways Come, I think the verse is definetly right ,the D chord is modified and makes it sound right. I’m not sure what chord is played under they all ways come in twos…. I wanted to get some feedback before I do the rest because the chorus may be out of key as I’m not sure on that one chord.

Malkmus I think you said that you had some corrections for the raisans solo? Well It would be cool to see them to get this more accurate

it’s pretty accurate, like you said, i’m not sure about that chord, but it sounds similar.

hey, this video of J playing Freak Scene is really close up and clear. you guys might be able to find some missing parts(well atleast the intro). the Em chord looks like he slides up to the 4th (or 5th?) fret.

                              great video, too.

and slightly better quality too I think, also he slides to the 4th after the em chord you can hear it if you play it.
