        Charles Mingus-Meditations(For A Pair Of Wire Cutters):another anthem,a rollarcoaster ride

        Tom Waits-Tango Till They`re Sore:sounds like a cocktail party for Al Capone

        Bessie Smith-Gimme A Pigfoot:one of Bessie`s last recordings,done in 1933;powerful powerful voice :shock: 8) :!:

          He Hansione, I´m not sure cause I´m not at home to check it out right now, but are these five songs maybe taken from one single cd?
          Let´s say… :roll: …Oorgasm 6 or 7, the light blue one?

              Velvet Underground-I`m Beginning To See The Light:a more optimistic song by Lou Reed then his usual doom and gloom;"wine in the morning,some breakfast at night".

              Son House-Death Letter:maybe the best blues song ever:the White Stripes covered it on their De Stijl album though Son`s version is still the best,I think Jack and Meg would agree on that too;"I got a letter this morning,what do you think it read?the woman you love is dead".

              Richard Buckner-Lucky Buzz:"this wicked old line at 32,holding out blind and barely true".

              Uncle Tupelo-Punch Drunk:"9 to 5 in a blind alley,he`s three sheets to the wind".

                                  Hazeldine-Whiskey In The Jar:a traditional song that was made famous by Thin Lizzy in the 70`s;the Hazeldine girls do a great version

                                  Shudder To Think-Red House:Malk reminded me of this in the lyrics thread,one of their best songs,it`s catchy and haunting.

                                  Giant Sand-Yer Ropes:"either way angel,you can earn your wings by living on both coasts".

                                  Jawbox-Cooling Card:"sold away my rights forever for something that was multi splendoured"

                                  Guided By Voices:Echos Myron:"most of us are quite pleased with the same old song"-a diss of oldies radio maybe? :P
