Reading the topic "Tell me something about yourself" I saw some controversial reactions on WASP, so Hansione was wondering: What band or artist do you realy HATE / turn off the radio / put your head in a bucket / earplugs / etc?
Mine…Celine Dion (it even hurts to write her name)
May 9, 2006 at 4:46 pm #117364Nice topic

Are they gay or just acting gay? Or is it like a bi-sexual thing? My nephew, 20, is getting all of these face creams and waxings and hair products……..what is this? See I’m the old generation now, I don’t get it. I want to send this (thanks people here at freakscene for turning me on to youtube) copy of Of Montreal, to my Dad and say "watch this Dad, this is sissy!" and then send him a copy of the Witch video with all of that long hair and say "see, not gay" Is it me, I adore bp helium, but is this style of music, like for metro-sexuals? Is this sort of for the part of us that that for some of us may never come out of the closet? I don’t get it? but hell, I’m trying.
I should start a poll but I’m just to lazy, It would go something like this, Is this gay or not, and not that gay is bad, and not that gay doesn’t mean you can’t be happily married.

Ps, I don’t really hate this band or anything like that just to set the record straight.

I don’t think it has anything to do with sex other than trying to impress some woman that might be out of your league. Think of it as yuppie pretty boys. Some guys are like why let all the women get pampered, I want that too. Who knows maybe most women want a well groomed, well dressed man.
Quote:not that gay doesn’t mean you can’t be happily married.Thats true, I saw an Oprah episode once…… have you heard of being on the down low?
May 10, 2006 at 12:13 pm #117374Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Complete, utter, total, irredeemable CRAP!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh. Their inexplicable success is a direct, flagrant insult to every decent band everywhere.
And name any current "indie" band, and I probably hate them. It’s all just too weak sounding.
May 10, 2006 at 12:24 pm #117375U2. Will somebody please tell Bono to shut the hell up!
While I’m at it… Lynard Skynard. Not so much that I hate them, but for the most part I’ve hated everyone I’ve ever met that listened to them.
May 10, 2006 at 1:11 pm #117376My current favorite punching bag would be James, Rod Stewart wannabe, Blunt. Other top offenders for me include:
Rascal Flats (This is supposed to be country? Looks like a boy band experiment gone horribly wrong)
Bubba Sparxxx (Do I really need to elaborate here?)
The Black Eyed Peas (Pretty much the epitome of what”s wrong with music today)Pink (Her "music" is just so, well…..stupid)
I’ll get flamed for this one but, I’ve always really hated the Violent Femmes, that stuff just grates my ears like sandpaper. How can anyone actually enjoy listening to them is beyond me….

However, the side project (Headwound City) the guitar player from the YYYs did with some folks from The Locust and The Blood Brothers is pretty cool.
