the dave matthews band is so bad that they don’t deserve the press here being called what they are bad, but it gets me so much, you meet new people in a bar and you try to talk music but they bring dave and you try to show them the error of their ways and they don’t see it, i tell you a dave matthews fan is the worst, they will defend that talentless sham till death for some reason and it is a conversation that is unwinable, but i try and end up almost killing myself to escape the world because is has these people in it…
June 20, 2006 at 11:07 pm #117409BRIGHT EYES. My GOD do I hate that whiny little prick. HE’s NOT A GODDAMNED GENIUS!!! He’s a pretentious pretty boy hack who sounds like he’s about to cry at any moment, and not in the good sense like Mark Eitzel, he just whines. ERGHHH. Anyways, yeah him and Led Zeppelin. I really can’t stand Led Zeppelin at all

June 22, 2006 at 12:15 am #117411I like their first four albums, when I’m in the mood. I haven’t listened to them in a long time though.
June 22, 2006 at 5:51 am #117412pete docherty annoys me. i cant see how he’s a good artist
June 22, 2006 at 7:43 am #117413well i’m glad to see someone finally agree with me on the zeppelin thing

It took me a while to get into them. I didn’t like em’ when I was in high school, or my early 20’s. Its only been recently that I’ve started listening to them. They’re an aquired taste I guess.

they made some great fucking songs, but i can’t stand Stairway to Heaven. overplayed, and the pretentious lyrics kill me.

They did have some good songs but I don`t listen to them much. The only records I`ve owned was the second and fourth and I have neither anymore.I still have The Song Remains The Same on vinyl though.June 22, 2006 at 12:15 pm #117417No one appreciates how important John Paul Jones was to Led Zeppelin.
June 22, 2006 at 12:45 pm #117418I know its crazy. Jimmy Page gets credit for writing a ton of killer guitar riffs, only problem is that John Paul Jones wrote half of them. :-

Ladies and gentleman, I implore you. Are you honestly suggesting that arguably the greatest rock and roll guitarist and drummer were in a band that sucked? Maybe in make-believe-pretend-land but, not on this planet.
And John Paul Jones is waaaaaaayyyyyyyy underrated but, him writing for Jimmy Page is an untruth.
Jimmy Page and John Bonham are the reasons Led Zepplin is one of the most technically superior bands ever….June 22, 2006 at 2:14 pm #117420Quote:And John Paul Jones is waaaaaaayyyyyyyy underrated but, him writing for Jimmy Page is an untruth.I heard John Paul say in an interview that he wrote a lot of those riffs. He said you can tell which ones he wrote because they’re more rythmic. Whatever that means.
No way Zepplins the greatest. Granted Jimmy wrote more hits than I ever will, but Jimmy Page was a sloppy guitar player. No way he’s the best. On the other hand Bonham pretty much invented Rock drumming, and was awesome. He could be the best with some stiff competition from guys like Keith Moon (both of which were fucking crazy).
Zepplin were good but not the best, I would still rank the Beatles higher than Zep.
June 22, 2006 at 2:16 pm #117421I wouldnt say he was sloppy, he’s in the middle in terms of slop as far as I’m concerned. You can hear him fuck up in the middle of the Lemon Song solo though.

….crazy would be an understatement!Ah, Keith Moon’s ok. But, he couldn’t even think about hanging with heavyweights like Neil Peart and Stewart Copeland. Neil Peart’s the best ever, IMHO.
