I just want to know what J has/had against Jaguars? He chucked one off of that mountain in the Out There video…..the thing was beauty-full (for those who havent seen it, it was lake placid blue with matching headstock).

I don’t personally know what J has against Jaguars. I have an older Guitar World interview with him (and Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine!) where he admires their looks, but mentions his dislike of the shorter Jaguar scale. Jaguars really aren’t commonly held in the same regard as Jazzmasters on the vintage market. But then, If people/bands like J, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, etc. hadn’t started playing them in the late 80’s/early 90’s (and many of those bands played them only because they were cheap), Jaguars, Jazzmasters, and (especially) mustangs wouldn’t be nearly as popular today.

What were we talking about again?

i got one yesterday! it’s an original 1965 one. i love it, easy to play and it looks great of course! only £300 as well. unfortunately it has no paint or decals, so i have to do something about that
