thirteenity ? wakeupnow, I think you’re just making that one up, I’ve never heard of such a number. And I would be surprised if it could be connected in any way to precious things.

Do you think Mrs. Levinson is sort of sexy?

If not then I don’t either.

Only if it turns you on.

And that you’re not going to poke fun at me for admitting it.

            I make no promises.

But what I really want to know is if I can tie you up, pour tar on you and call you ‘road man’ ? Is this at all possible?

I admit, I made that one up. Hopefully, the American People will forgive me. I therefore will offer my resignation as President of the U.S.A., as of noon tomorrow. I hope the American people accept my resignation, as President of the United States. May God have mercy on my soul.

I like mods.. mmm delicious. Especially the chocolate covered ones… though sometimes vanilla is OK too. Caramel covered ones, not so much.

Back to the subject at hand. I started a new job recently, in search of more money. I am about ready to snap. I am literally shaking as I type this. From day one, I have never recieved any training. Now they are talking about canning my arse cuz I can’t do my job.

I want to make it clear, at my last job, I was a phenom. Seriously, I went into corporate america with NO biz background and cleaned house. Get to this new gig, and struggling like a mo-fo. Don’t think it’s me, I’ve always been good at what I put my mind to. The crazy thing is, one of the guy’s on my team went to this new place as well. Exact same backgrounds, exact same abilities. He has taken to it like a fish to water. All because he is in a different department. Like I said, don’t think it’s all me.

These people come in late, take long lunches, and leave early. Questions about work are to be submitted in email format only (cuz u know that’s good for learning your job). They play on the internet and take personal calls all day, then complain about how they are overworked. They don’t say hi or goodbye, and then call me anti social. After saying high to someone for the umpteenth time, you kinda get sick of saying it when no one replies. Hell, I said "what’s up" to one of them one day, and she yelled at me cuz "that’s not an appropriate way to address [her]"

They tell you to go left, then ask why you didn’t go right. The one day, this girl flipped out cuz I was using the printer in this room. So I was told to use a printer outside of the room. Then my lead jumped me for using the printer outside the room and told me to get my arse back into the room. Now my manager is saying that is a perfect example of me not getting along with my coworkers.

This other chic, in front of others, is always so nice to me. When it is me and her only, she says some of the nastiest, meanest shiznit I’ve ever heard.

I was told not to work hard or overtime cuz it would make them "look bad".

My manager says people have complained because I ask a question more then once. Hey Einstein, if I understood the concept the first time, I wouldn’t be asking again, capiche? Honestly, if I understood every single thing the very first time I heard it, I would be some millionaire rocket scientist who recently cured cancer. Can’t ask the same question twice, WTF? You know, if it was directions to the bathroom, I might understand, but even then, would you get upset at the person for being lost? I don’t think so.

My manager recently asked me to give her some examples of negative interactions I’ve had with one coworker that have contributed to us not getting along. I gave her a few, and then she said all my examples were only about the one girl. Uh, hello?! Left, no right, no left, no right. AAAHHHHHH!!! And I’ve seen this girl snap on others when she thought no one was looking. But yeah, it’s me who is difficult. Give me a break. She once announced to the team that if she "had to work Saturday, [she] couldn’t be held responsible for [her] actions". Excuse me!?

I’ve snapped. Everyday I wake up and the first thing I say to myself is "god, I don’t want to go to work today."

The nerve of these people :o

What’s keeping you from quitting and getting another job ? Because that sounds like hell.

Software quality assurance testing. Love it. Right up my alley and really fits my mindset. The work is great, if they would just teach me about their software, which they won’t. Makes it hard to excel.

I’m looking, it is hell. The problem is, I only have a little over 2 years of doing it and my degree has nothing to with business. I took it on as a resume builder at the first place. I quickly moved from a tester, to senior tester, to test lead but was way underpaid. So I stepped back 2 positions to just be a tester for the pay raise at the new place. It sux. They suck. Just huge cultural differences and I am the one suffering. Believe me, I’m looking. But people want like 5-6 yrs experience and a business degree before they even consider interviewing you. Plus I’ve only been at the new place for 6 months, so looking for another job already isn’t well recepted at other organizations.

Maybe I should just go back to landscaping…

                            :-[ :'(

                            ;D

I see your point, leaving after just 6 months might not look too good. But if the other option is total pandemonium…
And going back to your old job is out of the question ?

Well, we (management and I) had long and numerous conversations before I left about making it a permanent position. They were steadfast in that it would always be a "resume builder" to develop people and move them on professionally, which I completely understand. Why pay more if people itching to move up will do it for less?

I almost doubled my salary (man I was underpaid, guess that’s what happens when you start over again at the bottom), so yeah, don’t really want to go back to that. I would go back to that company in a heartbeat, but they have a 1 year wait policy if you leave cuz it can get tricky with 401k packages and actual years of service when it comes to payouts, severance, retirement packages, etc. :-[

Ok. So you’re kinda forced to somehow magically get along with your coworkers, or just hate everything for atleast another six months, or go mental ?
