I’ve gotten permission from the label to post a track at my blog. It will go up later tonight.
February 8, 2007 at 3:28 pm #125647Cool which song are you putting up?
February 8, 2007 at 3:47 pm #125648Pick Me Up is my favorite right now. I dig the riffs in it.
February 8, 2007 at 5:19 pm #125649Oink has pulled the torrent apparently "at the band’s management’s request" and is not allowing it to be re-upped until 5/1. No idea why it’s more acceptable then. Apparently whoever was in the band’s management got their account yanked as well. Was that you Jeremiah?
February 8, 2007 at 7:35 pm #125650The song is up. It’s "Been There All The Time."

February 9, 2007 at 2:38 am #125651I love the disclaimer " Im going to buy it when its out" Or "Im going to buy 2"…
Fair enough you might, But by by doing this you are already acknowledging that you are doing something wrong….. Its called guilt. If the band wanted it all over the internet Im sure they would post it on Freesofree….
Here you go have it for free!Sorry rant over. Ive got a really bad cold today & Im in a bad mood. Plus who am I to judge!?
February 9, 2007 at 4:33 am #125652I’m with you on that, but the cats out of the bag, & I doubt it’s going back. Not advocating anyone download it, just using a harm reduction strategy of sorts to try & diminish the sharing & non buying frenzy that can happen.
btw, all links to downloads of songs posted on freakscene without the express permission of dinosaur jr provided to us will be removed until further notice, if you actually have permission from the band or label please understand we need confirmation 1st, then your link will be replaced..

The production is nice and raw and full, Murph’s drums smack really hard, and J’s guitar has got a lot of crunch and power to it. My only complaint is that there’s not enough bass in the mix, but then again I’ve been known to say that about Jah Wobble and Bill Laswell records. Which is just ridiculous. I’m really looking forward to the album now. They sound like they’re having fun.

Whoever posts up ENTIRE albums before their official release date has no respect for artists whatsoever.
February 9, 2007 at 8:52 am #125656Permissions were given to select sites to release the track
I’ve done the leg work to confirm.
http://www.clickyclickymusic.com/”>http://www.clickyclickymusic.com/ is all in the clear to run with it!February 9, 2007 at 9:50 am #125657Sorry folks, the link to the song file exhausted itself. I’ll refresh it tonight (Friday) around 7PM US EST.
Or are we on daylight time? Man, I’ll never figure that out…

True fans want to support their favorites artists, but it’s unrealistic to think that they will resist the urge to download it ‘illegaly’ if given the chance. The very reason they want it is b/c they like Green Mind, Where You Been, Bug, Hand it Over, etc… not b/c they are trying to sell it in a flea market or on the streets.
If Fat Possum really wanted to open some eyes and let the internet/technology work for them, then they’d quickly get an internet release together and partner with iTunes or someone similar. Many of the folks (and it’s unrealistic to think all) that have downloaded this release already would prefer the official stamped version from the label.

February 9, 2007 at 11:06 am #125659The songs I have heard so far are amazing. Of course I will buy the CD. It’s ridiculous to even have to say that considering how much money I have spent on airfare to see shows, rare import vinyl etc. But waiting is so hard and I LOVE these songs.
Any word on whether it will be released on vinyl?? If so, when? My husband’s birthday is May 4th and I would love to get it for him.

Um, they probably did–AT THAT SPECIFIC RELEASE DATE. Blah, blah, blah… stealing is stealing. Musicians should have control over their creations–from start to finish. If users really wanted to open some eyes–they wouldn’t pirate the artist’s music. In effect, becoming the user’s slave.
