I’ll tell you what I can do for the 9:30 club.

i’m not planning on bringing a camera or anything, but I will have a backpack (either stored at Union Station) or somewhere else.

I’ll be in DC almost the entire day on Monday.

Gives me time to go to the club before-hand with a video-taper, to see if we’re cool.
If we’re not cool, then we can go to Union Station and put your equipment into my storage locker, or where ever I have my bag stored.

I also have a small Sony DV Camcorder that someone could use in DC if they would like. I filmed the Northampton video bootleg with it.
If someone wanted to use my camera, I would have to know by this Saturday, as that is when I am leaving home for 5 or so days.

yeah i mean anyone who cares enough to want a copy of a full show, obviously is gonna buy the official dvd as well. i just feel a bit betrayed cause its ALLways been allowed at j’s shows.. lou’s shows as well. i was just really looking forward to making some kickass dvd’s cause this is like the most important tour ever.

Usually when managements make this decision, it’s not only because of the fact that is sounds like they are selling a DVD, but also because managements often fear that bootlegged videos will be sold on Ebay and the like..as was the case earlier this year.

I think it’s respectful to abide by those rules…I just wouldn’t want stealth video tapers to ruin it for audio tapers as well. Then we’ll all be screwed!!!

But I wrote to madison house for this official policy last week and never got a response, so at least someone here got one so we have a better clue!!

for what it’s worth, there were tons of people videotaping the show in Atlanta at the Variety Playhouse, and I didn’t notice anybody getting hassled. I guess it probably varies by venue though…

No problem with audio taping last night in Atlanta. Venue was informed beforehand and didn’t give any hassles walking in, nor did they check out what was in the bag. The pro video crew was all over the place. There were some fans taking pictures but I didn’t notice any other video…

yeah someguy, I was also guessing that the videotapers you’ve seen were the two or three "official" guys who are collecting video material for the band at any show.
