cool you found someone to go.

im working on transportation arrangements myself.
If I have to walk, I will walk.
Can’t miss this one
March 21, 2003 at 7:50 pm #91374Yeah, I’m glad I don’t have to make the long drive by myself. Hopefully I can talk my friend into driving, since his car gets better mileage….and I want to get all gooned up for the loud electric action
March 29, 2003 at 11:34 pm #91375The saga continues….
My friend just bailed out on me tonight

So, AGAIN, if anyone would like a ticket and a ride, please let me know.

March 31, 2003 at 7:48 am #91377Wouldn’t mind being in your shoes right now , anthony

I looked close at the ticket and couldn’t help noticing that there were numbered seats. is it a big hall?
March 31, 2003 at 8:15 am #91378no it’s general admission.
the only seats are at the bar and in the bathroom
March 31, 2003 at 9:01 am #91379nice to have reserved, numbered toiletseats. it gives you an alternative if the concert sucks.

have so much fun there! snow is rather improbable in the end of April, so nothing will come in your way

hopefully you’ll find a decent lift.
I also hope for ohsoloco to find some cool company
March 31, 2003 at 7:43 pm #91381Thanks, Flying Cloud….I still don’t have anyone to ride along with me (*hint hint* you central PA Mascis fans), but anthony and I are making arrangements to meet up before the show
Looking forward to meeting another freakscene memberSimmons, there’s only a one person bathroom for each gender (two, the last I counted), so you’d have some pissed off drunks
beating on the door if you planted down there for too long. That line can get pretty long sometimes, and I find myself striking up conversations with people in line to pass the time
I’m still not sure what to do about my ticket situation….Northstar’s website said the will honor the tickets from the cancelled show, so I held onto mine. The other day when I got my credit card statement I noticed that ticketmaster refunded my money
So, do I show up with the old tickets hoping they’ll let me in, or do I call ticketmaster? Free tickets sound pretty cool to me
April 3, 2003 at 12:54 pm #91382I will be at the Philly show. Maybe I will be able to hook up with ohsoloco & anthony, but I don’t know what time I will be showing up. It can get a little cramped in the bar if you show up too early.
April 3, 2003 at 1:09 pm #91383The first time I went, we showed up REALLY early, and joined one other peron at the bar. It got severely crowded a little later, so we didn’t even go in to see the opening act since we had seats right in front of the taps
Back in October we got there around nine, and stood up by the stage for all the acts so we would have a nice view. The first time we were pretty far back when we finally came in for J., and since the hadn’t raised the stage yet, it was hard to see anything
April 3, 2003 at 2:29 pm #91384we recorded the gig and interviewed j last year in march at the northstar. got to be right up front with the camcorder and it was real cool.
i know over by the pool tables there is a little room to meet up with some freaksceners. i’ll be there by myself this time, and i’m sure i’ll be there early.April 3, 2003 at 6:40 pm #91385I’ll definitely be there before a huge crowd arrives…just have to watch the porter intake since I have to drive back after the show

Just look for a tall guy with (very) short brown hair and a bushy red beard (I’m only half Irish
)…oh yeh, and I’ll most certainly be holding a bottle of porter. Hmmm, what else….my real name is Jeff if anyone wants to say hi
Still no takers on that ticket….what happened to Holt? Haven’t seen a post from them in a while.
April 14, 2003 at 9:12 pm #91386Alright, it doesn’t seem like anyone is going to ride along with me
Regardless, I thought I would post this just in case anyone is considering the ride along. Arrangements are being made between myself and another sawyer for me to stop by either his place or his sawmill on the way to philly
So, if anyone does want to go along you can get a tour of a sawmill….I’m hoping to shoot the breeze for at least a few hours about grade sawing, operating costs, and selling my lumber/timber.You’ve been warned….not that anyone will ride along anyway
April 14, 2003 at 9:39 pm #91387I wasn’t going to post here, but the sawmill is too much to pass up.
I fly by the moment, and most likely I won’t be working the 26th so I’ll be hoping to attend, and if you drew a line from philly to my town it would pass through your town, sort of, so if the ride is open closer to the day I’ll be able to say, hell yeah, and tour a saw mill.
I’m no good will long term plans/goals.
I need to see this show I think though. I just joined freesofree.net and the shows there are incredible.
All is well, hope you get more riders then we can have a freakscene convoy.
peace
