Ok, by now we have all been discussing what we like and what stores (Internet/ebay) we like. How about the crap that we have bought? You guys run into anything you wish you hadn’t bought? Such as, I bought a rack case from this guy in Ohio named Eric Johnson for $83. Cool, but it was just a 3 space case and the latches broke as soon as I started using it. It’s an MTS case…Other than the latches, it’s a pretty good case. I also bought (again, off of Ebay) a Dod Preamp of some sort. It was $83 and I plugged it in to my rig, it didn’t come with any footswitch and it sounded like poo on a stick. The effects were less than decent. They were all digital and sounded like the battery was dying…..only there was no battery. Dod digital = bleh!
Ok, we all know before we get into this, that whatever is said on here are only from someone elses experiances with something that they made thousands of. When you make this many of something, you are bound to make some of them faulty and some decent and some great. So no anger….dont hate

What do you hate about the Blue Box? Did you cut the C11 capacitor out of it? If not, you should… it will take care of the volume drop problem, and improve the sound of the fuzz too.
I haven’t but I probably will. I don’t hate it because of the volume drop though, I hate it cause there is no sustain and it sounds really computerish. Luckily I got it for cheap.
I bought a used DW re-issue of The Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer compressor (from eBay).
The first time I used it it sounded fine. But after I touched the internal trimpots that adjust level and compression the box just quit compressing and only boosts level. I never managed to get it to work right again ever. I even took it to a tech.Total crap, avoid.
I’ve since read others saying pretty much the same thing.
