I’ve met J several times, and was lucky enough to talk to him at length one of those times(took him to a couple guitar stores). We actually spent most of the time talking about music. He had a couple great stories about Arthur Lee/Love. He’s also got a great sense of humor.

that prolly won’t work The point is to talk about anything other than music if you want him to ‘open up’.

I didn’t say Blue Oyster Cult, I said Raw Oyster Snot. Anyway, he looked at me. I didn’t know what to say. I still wouldn’t know what to say–so what’s the point ?

"Meeting" J. has traumatized me completely and I don’t think I’d attempt it again.

When I talked to him we talked about Jazzmasters, and how far I drove to see them. We talked for about 5 minutes, I still can’t believe I got to talk to him for that long.
