tinnitus, anybody?

i know this is not the right place fur such a topic but most people will read this section and any help/advice is appreciated. also, maybe it is useful to know for fellow dino concert goers.

after the dinosaur jr. concert (2 days ago), i now have ringing in my ear. i went to a doctor, and she prescribed me three kind of pills and adviced me to instantly make a therapy in the hospital (infusions). she was quiet concerned.

however, some other people say this all is not necessary and i don’t need anything and i just should wait.

does anybody have experience with that and what is your advice?

p.s.: and yes, i had earplugs with me. in fact, i bought them for that occasion. but at the location, it didn’t seem so loud at all so i didn’t use them.

Damn dude! I had ringing in my ears a day after the concert, but it got gradually better as the night went on. I dunno, if your doc is concerned, I’d listen to her. Hope it gets better. BEHOLD THE AWESOME SONIC POWER OF MASCIS!

What are "infusions" ? Is that like "taking the waters" in Baden Baden or something ? Whatever it is, it probably can’t hurt but I wouldn’t worry too much as if it just appeared, it will probably fade, eventually.

I’ve been to shows where I had full on "whooshing" in my ears for a day afterwards but it usually goes away. I do, however, probably have a mild case of tinnitus after 15-20 years of unprotected concerts as I have a ringing that I can notice if it’s quiet or I concentrate. Maybe someday I’ll have my hearing tested to see what frequencies I’m missing. I make sure to wear earplugs now.

man them dinosaur fuckers gave me a pretty good dose of tinnitus after i saw them. haven’t heard the same since. i had it really mild when i was younger but now i know for sure that i have it because i can always notice it if i stop thinking about important things.
i meant to get earplugs but forgot, i didn’t even think about it during awesome color’s set and then i saw lou and murph start walking toward their instruments and i instatley thought "oh fuck i forgot the ear plugs".
