      The Uncle Tupelo compilation is out now on Columbia/Legacy,not Rhino,not sure what happened with that.Looks pretty good,good introduction to UT <img> has some b sides and rarities thrown in with the best stuff from the 4 albums.

          Farrar is a great songwriter for sure,I find he really shines on the slow acoustic songs more then the rock tunes;Hanging Blue Side,Creosote,Too Early,Out Of The Picture are all great;I like alot of UT songs too,some of the rock songs there worked for me,the SV ones like Route,Karyadid Easy,and Picking Up The Signal are ok but did`nt interest me as much as the others songs I mentioned.
          I still don`t have the Farrar solo album,have`nt seen it around here,still looking for it.
