I don’t normally talk like this, but it has to be said:

            LET IT RIDE FUKKIN OWNZ!!!!

In fact, I am listening to it right now (go Lou go!) It was the first Dino song I ever heard, on an old Santa Cruz Speed Wheels skate video, Speed Freaks (buuuuurp) which also had Freak Scene at the end during Mike Vallely’s part. I think Let It Ride is during Neil Blender’s part, but I could be wrong.

My friend Ian and I were actiually going to form a band just so we could play this song. Our set would be us gettting up, plugging in, playing the song with everything up to 11, then saying "Thanks. Goodnight!" The encore, if demanded, would simply be Let It Ride again.

            Would you come see us?

I discovered Dinosaur Jr in that same video. Mike Vallely was my favorite skater at the time, so once I saw that part I had to 1. learn all the tricks in his part, and 2. Buy that music he was skating to. I’ve been in love with Dinosaur Jr ever since. I still skateboard from time to time with my son, of course I still ride a Mike Vallely. :)

                1. Did you ever nail those one footed manual rolls? :P

                2. Indeed. Having only known Could You Be The One and owning Warehouse for a few years (and maybe Candy Apple Grey, which I still don’t really dig too much) I got properly into Husker Du after he skated to Diane in the mid 90s Powell video, Suburban Diners – a Grant Hart song you’ll note, for anyone who’s been following the Huskers related debate in the "other reunions" thread…

No never did get those one footed manuals down, I still think those are sick. I had his double kick tail board the "Don’t eat my friends" deck at the time. Man those days were fun. I had the warehouse tape and played it till it screached. Yeah Husker Du’s pretty great too.

I want to see those videos. I used to love skateboarding. I started when I was about 12 and skated every day for about 5 years but I think my body is paying the price now. I only use my board for transport now rather than skating street and doing tricks. It sucks that I’ve lost alot of tricks I learnt but I have pretty weak ankles now which sucks :(

I wish I had of listened to dinosaur when I skated because it seems to fit really well, I used to listen to alot of mudhoney when I used to rise around. The last deck I bought was a Baker which had the nirvana smiley face on it, it’s a really good board and it’s still intact. I had some of the best times in my life skating and it’s a shame I’ve let it slide away.

I suck at skating so much. I’ve been skating on and off since I was little and I can never do anything other then an ollie and a shove-it.

                      It’s fun though.

                            Yeah,
I find the 3 song block of ‘They Always Come’,’Yeah We Know’,’Let It Ride’ are all underrated.
For Me,they are the best part of the album.
