Us vs. Mascis

It’s been well documented that Teenage Riot by Sonic Youth is about J, but does anyone know of any other songs about him?

I’ve got a record called ‘Run the lights EP’ by an English band called Spraydog, and the third track is titled ‘Us vs. Mascis’. It’s quite a nice track, reminds me of Superchunk or Smudge, but (unless I’m missing something very subtle) makes no mention of J in the lyrics. Can anyone shed any light on whether it’s about J, or if it’s just a coincidence? Please help!!! [img]images/smiles/converted/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Lou Barlow is said to have written a couple of… uh… well lets just say he vented some spleen at J.

Apparently Lou’s anger at J was what made him create the Sebadoh tapes. The whole basis for the band is the anti-j mascis feelings he had. That’s extreme.
