I like his critique. I’m glad someone is not afarid to say something about how cliché and vapid a lot of the music is today. (I find so, anyway…). But, it’s true, if you’re younger and you hadn’t grown up with these sounds, it probably doesn’t sound like total rehash to your ears. :-

ha … that was great. Probably one of the best interviews I’ve seen. I’m sure Lou was so sick of talking about the f-ing band that being asked his opinion on something was quite refreshing. It’s cool how he can zero in on what (he thinks) sucks about the current scene while usually not coming across as a guy who goes outside and yells "Hey you kids ! Get off my lawn !"

And the Editors do indeed fucking suck.

I’ve heard a bit of their music but I find the singer’s voice to sound TOO MUCH like Ian Curtis’s. I also would like to clarify that there’s a lot of great music out there but some stuff on the major labels sound and look like one long TV commercial.
