what is dinosaur jr’s videotaping policy? i see a lot of live clips on youtube, but i recall seeing somewhere that they prohibit videotaping (audiotaping not a problem). i’d like to bring my videocamera and tripod to an upcoming show, but don’t want to deal with any hassles if that’s not officially allowed…thanks!
From what I know the band members are ok with anything. I think the "no-video" thing came fom Dino’s management around the time the official live DVD came out mainly to have people *buy* the offical product. But that was 3 years ago. A tripod-shot video (filmed from the balcony) of the recent Charlotte show is in circulation, so things might have changed and video could be ok by now. You could ask Dino’s management (check dinosaurjr.com for contact info), they have always been very helpful to tapers.
