Hey,

Gotta agree vinyl just damages to easily, my cat tried playing dj with my vinyl Funhouse ages ago. Heard it starting and stopping, looked over and there is my cat right next to the turntable stopping it with his claws…then letting it go …did this for awhile. Guess he liked the sounds Lived up to his name f*#*head…he was a very charming cat other than that dj thing

Don’t you find Vinyl is so much hassle? For a goon like me it is anyway. All that worry about needles and scrathes. And have you never brought an album that is sort of wobbly? It sounds lame!

Allison-uncool that your cat scratched Funhouse but cool that he knew how to do some hip hip scratching;you should have showed that to a rap group,I`m sure they would have loved to have him in their crew.
I can see it now J F**khead the cat!
I hope you changed his name when you took him to the vet!

Hey Salami Guy,

He did a really good job of scratching up Funhouse…definitely a talented cat Thankfully have that rhino boxed set of funhouse…no chance of my current cat getting at that one

His code name at the vet was Fred…

uhhh, quite frankly, sony md’s _do not_ suck. they’re all the best parts of both cassettes (recordability and portability) and cd’s (digital sound) with advantages cassettes never had (like seamless clean removal and altering of track listings for mix MD’s)… i like my md just as much as my cd player and turntable. everyone, check out a sony md player when you can… i have both a portable for outside use and a sony mxd-d40 cd/md deck for recording. i’ve recorded both vinyl and cd’s (the latter with high speed copying), and with digital recordings of vinyl, the mxd-d40 is a dream to pop in track markings!

Sorry, I trade on DAT, and as you know, DAT traders are too 733+ to give props to MD…

eggwater digs Vinyl…CD cases are prone to breaking and CDs aren’t as damage proof as the man would have us believe…vinyl sounds better unless the music was originally recorded digitally…dah! I just like the big sleeve art and gatefolds are cool…though I succumbed to buying a digital 8 track and master all my own tunes to MD…fuck I’m a walking contradiction…I still buy vinyl before CD any day…did any get 1000Hurts by Shellac on Vinyl…a simply magnificent package and also the CD version thrown in to compare the difference of the mediums (no doubt). Mr. Albini you are analogue personified.

Albini is famed for his hatred of cd`s,I heard about the 1000 Hurts deal;you can buy it on cd or on vinyl with the cd,at the same price!

The Hellacopters are also what you could call anti-cd. A lot of their songs are only available on vinyl -and they put out some great ltd vinyls.

I never had a problem with cd’s scratching, you take it out of the player, you put it in the jewelbox on the rack, how can anybody have trouble with this?
