anyone going to the shins/J show at mccarren park pool in brooklyn? saw it listed in the paper today.

aloneI just spoke with my friend in NY. She said that the Shins’ crowd was such an annoying distraction. She said that she was drowning in 16 year old girls who had absolutely zero interest in the weird gray-haired legend on stage and talked and text-messaged each other throughout his set. My friend didnt mind the text-messaging, but she had no tolerance for all of their inane conversations.
She can’t wait to see the Dino show next week.

I know I sound like an old fart (in fact, I *am* an old fart), but kids these days have the attention span of fleas, with all their compulsive texting and cell-phone yapping.
That whole surrounded by teens, talking on phones during J’s set, would have absolutely killed me!
