February 7, 2004 at 7:15 pm #98912Einstürzende Neubauten – Perpetuum Mobile
February 8, 2004 at 3:17 am #98913record player fixed, or should i say fully assembled, darn slacker half skimming instructions gets you know where. Comedy, i let that darn turntable sit in a box for a month before i got it spinning, first trip to the local vinyl shops today…
Dinosaur Jr. – Just Like Heaven (10 inch single) even though i own fossils on cd i couldn’t resist, favorite track ever, maybe, at least the most listened to one in my daze, even though it’s a cover it’s still J in top form and a ripping solo that sounds even more intense on vinyl
Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery – the Dynamic Duo
Weather Report – Heavy Weather
James Brown – Time to get Busy
the Sequence – Funky Sound (Tear the roof off) – couldn’t resist the Sugar Hill label
Eminem – Diss Tracks – unmarked white lable imported from england, scetchcist purchase, but i phoned my roommate from the store and he told me if i left it there he would kill me, and i believed him so i purchased it and it is fun, being a collection of very curretn diss tracks from the last two underground DJ Green Lantern shady records mix tapes.
D-12 – Purple Pills/That’s how… 12 inch single with dirty clean intstrumental and accapalla versions, should come in handy down the road, as most of these purchases, scratching as otherwise and background nosish
DJ KaySlay – the Streetsweeper (vol. 1) – couldn’t pass up the 5 dollars for two records. A comp with names galore in hip hop heroics. KAy Slay is well respected by artists so he gets shite before it hits the streets, this must have been a promo copy becasue it is mint and fun, bought it really to check out a new MC from philly called Cassidy, he is getting mixed buzz here and i wanted to know if he was alright, being that he is on a track wiht like seven other guys it’s hard to tell who he is yet but i’m happy with my purchases and can’t wait to put work together.February 8, 2004 at 2:39 pm #98914February 11, 2004 at 1:26 pm #98915American Splendor DVD
