this album i know isn’t talked about much, it seems so different and it being a compilation. it shows a different part of J’s songwriting and i like it just for that. "Sideways" is a song i wouldn’t see on a Dinosaur recording before hearing it. there’s really grungey but also some acoustic songs on it. the live tracks are great. and the cover of Quick Sand is awesome. 8)

I love Whatever’s Cool With Me. All of those songs are awesome. I’ve been listening to that CD for 15 years now, and it’s still way up there on my list.

Sideways is one of my favorite Dinosaur Jr songs. Quicksand rules too. Its not considered an album though right, its a single with a bunch of b-sides.

Yeah it`s a cool ep or album or whatever you call it.Pebbles And Weeds just rules 8) that riff to Sideways is soooooo catchy and you get to hear a bit of J`s dream to be a hip jazz vibraphonist :D Quicksand is a top notch cover even with the lyrics changed. The only downside to it is the live version of Keep The Glove, the guitar solo could be better.Thumb on the other hand is 8) 8) 8)

And I really wish J could do something like The Little Baby and Pebbles + Weeds again!

Maybe on the new Dino album… ::)

I always interpretted The Little Baby as J’s retaliation to Lou’s grudge songs aimed at him.

You know, the mumbly mellow babble J voice going on about mundane day to day stuff and the screaming of "The Little Baby" (J’s pastiche of Lou, the designated screamer in Dinosaur) as a response in the chorus.

That’s how I always heard it. Wadda’ya think?

                  Whatever, it rocks.
Those songs were on the UK B-sides of The Wagon and ‘Whatever’s Cool…" Twelve inches.

Sideways was mine and my husband’s first song.
