June 19, 2002 at 10:20 pm #70251Sarsparilly, you should get Maladroit. Much better than Green. I don’t think Green was so much an artistic statement as it was one of existance. (The "I am here" album)
June 19, 2002 at 11:02 pm #70252nope, evil malkie i refuse to buy maladroit… i fear i will hate it and that happens too often.
today in my stereo but NOT necessarily in order:
pure funk compilation
cypress hill III temple of boom
beatles yellow submarine
come recline with black velvet flag
jack drag unisex headwave
and as i write i listen to my new purchase of the day
johnny cash mercury recordings
i ordered 2 cd’s today, went swimmin’ and i can pick up my guitar at the guitar dr after missing her for 2 WEEKS consequently i am numb with the unnatural combination of positive events occurring latelyJune 20, 2002 at 11:57 am #70253Malc is right. Maladroit is really good. And I like Green more than most people. You should burn or dl some tracks if you can. Not that I’m telling you to break the law or anything

ok today well this a.m. it was all velvet underground, right now i am listenin to the beach boys surfer girl. next up kristin hersh strange angels and such, then gonna dig out the old cassettes hidden in the betty-mobile IV(my sassy wheels) and find short sharp shocked by michelle shocked to learn a song or 2 on it. got dick dale lined up for later, before dinner music and then some latin music, possibly buena vista social club or some cuban stuff i got, or early los lobos, hablas espanol? m’kay. to prepare (in other words get all riled up) for a video tonight, Desperado, directed by robert rodriguez, i liked el mariachi mas, but amigos, antonio banderas is truly the bee’s knees, do ya see the drool… stay chilled y’all, i might need to go night swimmin’, if we do not get a thundersorm to cool things off soon! anyway gonna take some suggestions offered, guess i will get maladroit then, as it comes recommended by 2 out of 3 freakscene regulars. p.s methinks bettie serveert is way wicked cool. also boys, i am notorious as a scofflaw in my town and even on the internet, so no worries rust belt dude… i got busted by a fascist on a noise violation just the other day, hey bob marley musta sceered him or sompin’, i dunno call me shleprock?[ 06-22-2002, 03:18 PM: Message edited by: sarsaparilly ]
June 22, 2002 at 7:53 pm #70260Sarsaparilly-yeah I love the Gabriel era Genesis Selling England By The Pound was the first cd I ever bought. When I was 15 they were the only band I listened too!the first 2 albums with Collins are`nt too bad but they went way downhill later on when Phil became the 80`s yuppie pop star Bob Pollard said that he loves the early Genesis stuff too, that`s why I loved GBV so much when I first heard them,it was like early Genesis done in a lo fi post punk way
