      Does anyone know what the source is of the "Dinosaur Jr." band name?

        I know they added the "jr" after YLAOM because The Dinosaurs were going to sue them over their name.

          As all members were very small they needed a name which sounded as big as their sound so they called it Dinosaur. You can’t get it any bigger. ;)

            haha I think that’s true.

            Now, it sounds in the movie 1941 (1979) Ernest Borgnine mentions the "crowd" and "look we got Donald J Mascis here", after the Le Brea Tarpit dinosaur scene. :-

              Actually, you can get bigger than a dinosaur. What about Skyscraper? ???
