OK, lots to cover, here goes…

To everyone who’s missing CDs: I really hope you can find them. Good luck!!!
Robert: Just be glad it isn’t "Dinosaur" and "Hand It Over" that are missing.

Allison: It may be time to open a whole keg of you know what… :slap:
Kurt: Screwdrivers, can opener, drill, dremel (w/ tungsten carbide metal cutting bit MWA HA!!!). How bad do you need that radio anyway?

Aatos: Nature has many, many cleanup mechanisms in place…
King of Carrot Flowers: I’ve slowly been doing the same thing. Got about half my collection encoded (plus quite a bit that I’m, er, "trying out" from the net. As for the speed of your encoding; that’s a processor intensive thing. How fast is your ‘puter, cause that’s probably the bottleneck…
Dang I miss Audiogalaxy! You guys sent me no less than 24 hours of random, awesome stuff. I put it all on random and had a little sorta Freakscene radio for about 8 hours straight today!!!

February 2, 2004 at 10:43 am #98650interesting, i have a 500 mhz g3 ibook with an additional 512 of memory (bringing it up to 640) one of my friends has a slower computer, and his rips much faster.
February 2, 2004 at 1:55 pm #98651My Essential Radio Birdman & SRB’s Sweet Nothin’ are back home where they belong, friend just dropped them off. He’s lucky, I was considering Mattmans advice…
Still missing the Flaming Sideburns, starting to worry that I left it in a cd player at work

Inspired by your effort I’ve ripped all my boots, using EAC, so I now have 103gb of bootlegged fun on my hd. Perhaps this’ll give me a chance to listen to all of them, plus it’s easier when it comes to trading etc.
February 6, 2004 at 12:41 pm #98654i use itunes, and run panther.
February 9, 2004 at 8:31 am #98655you know this missing cd mystery had been plaguing me until very recently too … i knew some of our cd’s were missing, but where were they

you would think after three years of living in a tiny 2 bedroom maisonette you would get to know every nook + cranny of the place, but noooooo ….
… just the other day, i found a drawer downstairs stuffed full of all our cd’s which have been missing over the 3 years or so we’ve been living here
…so it seems a slow migration from upstairs to down – combined w/an ultra-fastidious father-in-law were to blame all along … mystery solved, thankfully
February 9, 2004 at 12:15 pm #98656Well, it appears that at least copies of Where You Been ends up in a girls car. And after nearly two weeks she will come with sort of a shy smile with sugar on top to say that she’s found it.
So not finding Where You Been actually turned out to be one of the best things that has happened to me this year.
Dinosaur Jr, satisfaction guaranteed.Rambleon, sounds to me like you struck gold, and of all the places -in a drawer!
February 9, 2004 at 2:09 pm #98657yes … safe + sound + dust free
ooh !! you found your cd + got your girl … sounds like a cunning plan on her part
… not that you’re complaining
February 9, 2004 at 2:18 pm #98658Well, had the girl. And she had just forgot that she had the cd. But, let’s say that she paid the loan with interest
