There’s a cool version of Carly Simon’s – Anticipation on Martin and Me. Quicksand is a David Bowie song but J changed the lyrics. (instead of power he says he doesn’t have the wagon anymore)

          I misunderstood – Richard Thompson (b-side on 7′ I’m insane)

Ah yes Bowie’s Quicksand, that’s the one I knew I was missing.

Lotta Love (Neil Young) – on "The Bridge – A Tribute To Neil Young" (1989)
(great rendition, aggressive playing etc, but terrible vocals)

I’ll Feel A Whole Lot Better (The Byrds) (1989, Time Between – A Tribute To The Byrds)
              (w/vocals by Lou ‘n’ Artie)

              also:

I’ve Been Waiting For You (Neil Young) – unreleased 1989
(Lou posted a mp3 of it here: http://www.loobiecore.com/beenwaitingforyou.html”>http://www.loobiecore.com/beenwaitingforyou.html)

I wish they’d put that one out. The original 1968 Neil Young recording is almost tame compared to the Dino version – but when Neil & Crazy Horse played it on their 2001 tour their arrangement was closer to the Dinosaur version than Neil’s original studio recording… ;D

Dino’s version of Goin Blind owns the Kiss version. Its amazing!!!
Edit: Dino covers seem too amazing to handle. They’re pretty original and different than other bands covers.

That’s not saying much, though. On my list of worst bands of all time, Kiss is definitely in the top-five, maybe in the top-three. I honestly can’t understand how anyone could like them at all. Bad beyond bad. I liked them when I was eight because of the fire and blood and stuff, but even at such a young age I was able to recognize how bad their music sucked.

The Dino cover is, however, genuinely badass.
