Yeah, I’m no big fan of RS either, but they did mention Dinosaur quite a bit on the run up to Beyond, featuring "crumble" as some track to look out for and covering the band in the studio last fall. There were some other mentions, which surprised me at the time that such a magazine would care so much about Dinosaur Jr at this point in time.

That’s kind of my point. So much a year ago. Now they are touring behind a new album…nothing in print. What about an album review in time to matter???

Well, Robert Christgau is their main reviewer now and he’s never liked Dino/J, so if they were to run a review it’d probably be a 1-star one, like he gave the new Meat Puppets. As he’s gotten older, Christgau has been desperately trying to prove how "hip" he is, which means trashing solid rock bands who’ve been around for the long haul while praising whatever flavor-of-the-month hip hop and "indie" rubbish is currently being hyped. He’s a smart guy who used to have good ears, but it’s time to put him out to pasture, I think.

                      I agree, King T…

It’s time for the "self-declared Dean of American Rock Critics" to turn in his laptop.
