anybody having a problem with windows update ? everytime i go, it tells me i have to be logged in as admin or right click windows update and "run as admin". well, i am admin and this is w2k. no "run as" with service pack 2 installed. This is new i was able to get in a couple weeks ago on the same system. any thoughts ?
How are you connecting to the internet from that machine? Are you going through a firewall, or is it directly connected with a personal Firewall on it? Any other network changes?

There is also another link on that page, in more information, for XP Home/Pro that has the same error, but does not appear to be restricted to one firewall..
As for the "Run As": Hold down the shift key, and right click on the app you want to run as admin.
