I just found it then, sorry if it’s already been mentioned and/or if I have posted this in the wrong place, I’m never quite sure when talking about Witch. Anyway, playing Seer, it’s awesome and there is a fair bit of focus on J playing the drums.

i gotta say after watching that vid-Love J Guitar-cant figure out about this band…
those rehashed ‘heavy’ riffs and muddy sound has been done inside and out since the 60s ‘BLUE CHEER’ for you oldsters and by DeadMeadow in more modern times and i just dont see the affection J has for it and lending his high level presence to this-i guess these guys are friends of his and i just wonder when push comes to shove and J has a gig will this band shrivel up or get another drummer and carry on in this over done genre…
i have the record and play it once in a while but i cant get over the genericness.
love heavyness and DINOSAUR rocks me-but Witch misses me.

It’s cool. If I was there I’d be into it.

Stan, I went to see the Witch video, but as I was watching I was sidetracked by the other Mascis
stuff, I scrolled to to the bottom and found the Lung, clicked on it before Witch was finished. I got all choked up and all most started to cry (hey, it’s that time of the month) I saw these guys during this round of shows………….The difference I guess, is that J was quite the sound artist, as well as a "guitar playa"
Dinosaur Jr. was like no other sound, at that time, the Lung video really captured the whole uniqueness of
it all. Witch is alright but it’s not cutting edge.
I had to modify and say, I watched Ammaring, w/dave schools and kyle, I got all backed up with
emotion again, that stuff rocked, and I could tell with dave, J was letting a little of his "Jam" band self come out, that song could have gone on for another 20 mins or so. How about those drums…………I think am going to go watch another dave/kyle/fog show right now. I’ll grab a box of tissues first.

Oh, my God the Gemini in me is coming out and I am finding it hard to stop writing, but I really did enjoy that video capture of J tuning up before Ammaring, if you watch his face you can see the love of of "Sound"
I think he grooves on tuning, and during Ammaring, you can still see the sound artist in him. I wish I could foster a love
of tuning in my daughter, lately she has been putting her violin case on the table, with a sticky note on it
that says, please tune before 3pm! Thanks, Ceci………………….

Back in the Mudhoney – Mudhoney days I think they were. Mudhoney even ripped off song titles like Blue Cheers Magnolia Caboose Baby Finger to Mudhoneys Magnolia Caboose Baby Shit.

Nebula are good too though, I like em’ as well.

I went and watched that one too, just because you said it got you teary eyed. Yeah it’s a good video, and song for sure. I still enjoyed watching J play drums with witch though I perfer him on guitar. :)
