Annastefka, you seem to give great advice. I could read your posts all day.

I love Ana, I want to snuggle up beside her, and listen to her tell me how I fucked up in life, and how to fix it.

Yes, Annastefka gives good advice. :) I understand that the Mascisgirls are a symbolic tribute–but–the line of thought portrayed here has more of a realistic undertone to how some may feel about my participation on this board…

Perhaps this "chasm" was built out of my own imagination–but I’ll never know fully for lack of reciprocity.

As you said, Stefka, "work is prayer" as one man mentionned and too often I say "God, help me…" but I have to help myself, also.

I honestly forgot to add you just like My Name Is Lisa and Sophie.I appreciate your role on this board but my memory just is`nt what it used to be.It was`nt anything against you or Lisa or Sophie. The female members of this board I think are very cool and special and shows that J`s fans are`nt just all long haired guitar playing guys that never get a date(and that`s not necessarily true either ;)).This is a very personal board compared to others I belong to.Sure there`s some interesting people on other boards but it`s tough to make friends with them it seems. Most times I feel on the outside of some certain circle but I don`t really feel that here. This was the first message board I ever joined and still is my favorite.

This board really does feel like a community in the purest sense of the word. I look forward to logging on everyday while at work to see whats been going on with all of you. Its almost like I have a bunch of penpals in a way. I enjoy this board very much, and its the only one I participate in. Besides, where am i going to find hard core Dino fans like you guys? ;)

Often I find that God or Great Spirit, Great Mother, Allah or Jah………..(that hard to name energy)
Allows situations to happen that make us uncomfortable, because humans by nature will stay in the same
place (ie doing the same things, believing the same things, having the same thoughts, etc.) unless we get VERY uncomfortable. And then we all know of people who will stay and be uncomfortable just because it is easier than jumping out and trying something new. I am like that as strange as it may sound, I am like those trapped in the world trade center, who jumped to their death, there has to be a raging inferno of discomfort beforeI make any decision to change. I read a great book by Emily Cady, a great christian mystic writer, many years ago, but I remember her saying, if you are feeling sad, uncomfortable, unloved etc……..GREAT
You are just about to have a door open for you. It’s Gods way of getting you to the door….

Check out these cool quotes from Emily Cady:

Every man is in bondage to the flesh and to the things of the flesh. All suffering is the result of this. The history of the coming of the Children of Israel out of their long bondage in Egypt is descriptive of the human mind, or consciousness, growing up out of the animal or sense part of man and into the spiritual part.

Man, who is at first living in the selfish animal part of himself, will grow up through various stages and by various processes to the divine or spiritual understanding wherein he knows that he is one with the Father, Mother and wherein he is free from all suffering, because he has conscious dominion over all things. Somewhere on this journey the human consciousness, or intellect, comes to a place where it gladly bows to its spiritual self and confesses that this spiritual self, its Christ, is highest and is Lord. Here and forever after, not with sense of bondage, but with joyful freedom, the heart cries out: "Jehovah reigneth" Everyone must sooner or later come to this point of experience

I heard a radio interview with Bob Marley once, I had No idea that part of the Rasta thing, was this deep Christian belief. Bob Marley was on the path. As evidenced with this song.

                  http://61.135.130.93/Songs/English/Male/Bob%20Marley/%281984%29%20Legend/11%20-%20Redemption%20Song.mp3?wxc”>http://61.135.130.93/Songs/English/Male … ng.mp3?wxc

Who are the Pirates of old, the same ones now who’s only job in this world seems to be to get us to think that we need to be consumers, that we need to have lots of money, and put lots of stuff on the credit card, the pirates are anyone who wants to rob us of our peace by filling us with fear…………..

but as I love to yell out to the family when listening to this song "How was his hand made strong?"
the answer is in the song above, with a strong hand you can put up one heck of a fight (ie resist)

But how do we get there, Emily Cady wrote this in her book Lessons in Truth:

Every man must take time daily for quiet and meditation. In daily meditation lies the secret of power. No one can grow in either spiritual knowledge or power without it. Practice the presence of God just as you would practice music. No one would ever dream of becoming a master in music except by spending some time daily alone with music. Daily meditation alone with God focuses the divine presence within us and brings it to our consciousness.

Therefore, SG, don’t be too sad…….your were just being a son of a God! :)

I’m a guessing you mean college, I went 10,11 and 12 grade to the School for the Creative
and performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio

I then went on and took classes at Rochester Institute of Technology (film processing)
and then to the School of Visual Arts in NYC, I majored in Film, my emphisis being, post production, (editing)

My Father, said to me while I was in school "Of all of the bullshit things you have done in your life, this film,
this study of film, all of it, is the biggest pile of bullshit yet, from you."

just recently, I called him to say I hated my job, I have had it less than a year, and it brings in a nice amount of money, but I am feeling so bad….his answer was "My thoughts about law enforcement have been, that it is mainly full of slightly undereducated people, who are stressed out to the point of burnout, who sacrifice quality family time, to deal with humanity at it lowest manifestation" That sounds like a terrible fit for you honey, Wow, my Dad’s pretty cool

Rich, as far a snuggling with me, I’m old enough to be your Mom, but hey, my kids think it is the closest thing to heaven, to be in Mom and Dads bed, right, it is sort of magical, and comfortable.

yeah, my folks said "why music ? why can’t you study to be a secretary ?" The mere mention of the word "secretary" now makes me break out in hives. It is not the proper word for what most of these women (and some men) do. It is quite demeaning, I find.
And so, I want to get away from it as much as possible.

Stefka, your dad sounds harsh but there seems to be a flicker of truth in there–He seems to be looking out for your best interests. People should be able to police their behavior themselves. If they can’t or won’t… Well, this is a terribly difficult subject… I feel a little pukey talking about this…

People, should be able to police themselves but we can’t, hey, I’ve been sneaking Mountain Dew’s, of all horrible habits, Not every day but 2x a week or so, I run out grab one, pour it into another glass, smash the can and wrap in in paper and put it in the bottom of the recycle bin. Like the alcoholic hiding the bottle. My job has been so stressful, I have turned to Mountain Dew to keep me going.

I sat and listened the other day to a police dispatcher take a call from a woman who said two men were beating the crap out of each other in a dark parking lot (one ended up having his spleen removed) while getting the police enroute she quickly tried to put together the "who" part of the puzzle, "who are the men, do you know them?" she asked the caller, "yeah, dat my baby’s daddy others baby’s mama’s baby’s daddy" (ie, my boyfriends ex-girlfriends new boyfriend) I had to draw a little diagram on a napkin to help her get it, so the world goes on, unable to police it’s self.
