Yep, That’s a good deal. I need to get on that!
February 12, 2013 at 10:32 am #137439Ok, so I have Dinosaur in Yellow vinyl and I’m looking for the red vinyl. All signs point o fair price being no more that $150.00. Discogs has one for $279.00. Does anyone have a better lead for me to buy from?
On another note I picked up YLAOM in Pink Vinyl for $70.00 and in Purple Vinyl for $52.00. Both are SST.
Thanks for your help!
February 12, 2013 at 12:04 pm #137440how much is posatge in the UK from Discogs?
February 12, 2013 at 12:05 pm #137441I don’t buy LP’s(just 7″) but I have so many ebay/discogs save searches I see all đ depending on condition – NMint I wouldn’t pay more than $100.
@mind_glow is the expert on LP’s I think he would probably agree? But it’s a waiting game, I saw one sell for $70 on ebay not to long ago in VG+ condition. But I have also seen it sell for twice that. Plus he knows a few more sites I always forget to search.
gemm.com/musicstack.com etcIn a moment of madness I got the bug tape from USA for $40+(the LTD one to 250)
last year. Yesterday I got a sealed one for $4 both from ebay !??February 12, 2013 at 12:10 pm #137442@doesitfloat – Discogs is like ebay(person/company to person) postage can be anything!
February 12, 2013 at 12:18 pm #137443ah! thankyou! @empire2
February 15, 2013 at 3:38 pm #137444The red Dinosaur seems a bit more rare than the yellow one.
Like Empire2 said, it is waiting game. You can always get things pretty cheap if You don’t need it right now. Except for the original Deep Wound 7″.February 18, 2013 at 9:30 am #137445Thanks again guys, I’ll sit and wait until one pops up. I had to do that for the Purple YLAOM. It took about four months to ‘pop up’. Not too bad a wait.

April 10, 2016 at 11:41 am #231991Not sure this was worth a new thread – But the DIY just like heaven record had ‘crowd cheering and clapping added for the radio, Some stations struggled with the sudden ending” Or that’s what is written on a SST press release that comes with the record.
I added the last few seconds to my twitter if you wanted to hear it ……..

March 29, 2017 at 11:58 pm #232819I finally got Take a Run at the Sun!!!! Now I need help with a couple other vinyls. I’m looking for the 2005 Baked Goods Records versions of YLAOM in Black and in Yellow. Can anyone help me? Much appreciated!
October 29, 2019 at 5:57 pm #233654This is possibly not the right place to ask this, but as the forum looks pretty dead i doubt i’ll get a response to a new thread. I’m trying to work out which colours freak scene was actually released on. On discogs the following variations are listed for SST 220:
- black
- lilac
- clear
- grey
- purple
- blue
- red
- yellow
I have:
- black
- clear
- grey
- purple
- red
Every seller i’ve contacted on discogs that’s apparently selling the lilac version (including the one i mistakenly bought), has sent me a photo of the purple version. And to me, the grey version actually looks more like marbled lilac.
Everything i’ve read appears to suggest that, apart from the 4 people on discogs who claim to have it, no one else has ever seen the yellow version.
So as far as i can work out, the lilac version is a duplicate listing of the purple, the yellow doesn’t actually exist, so the only versions i have left to get are the blue and TP.
Can anyone else help clarify this?
December 7, 2019 at 7:07 am #233655Yes it’s very quiet but check out the  facebook group were a lot of these type of questions have gone. (Plus theres a extra group bit on there just for talking about this kind of thing)
https://www.facebook.com/FreakSceneNet/
Anyway I shall try and help here. I do have a lilac and purple version and they are different enough that it’s not just a end of print on purple or second press’ (I’m guessing this happens as I have slightly different green I don’t think so 7″ single. But I’m sure these are not different pressings!)
Yellow – I’m 99% sure is a mistake  – I even emailed those guys several years ago. I have never even seen a picture. (Plus nobody here has seen one!)
I have these. So they are out there!
Blast First Label (UK Label)
Black
Black (different middle label)
Test Pressing
Normal (German Label) Came with Bug vinyl album
Black
SST Label
Test Pressing
Clear
Marble Grey
Red
Light Blue
Dark Blue
Purple
Lilac
Black
Sweet Nothing (Cargo UK Label)
Reissue 2005 – Black
Jagjaguwar
Part of a 5 x 7″ boxset released in 2014 – Black Vinyl
I would update discogs so it’s 100% correct but I don’t have the will power : )
December 13, 2019 at 9:30 am #233656@empire3 thanks a lot for responding, I’ll definitely check out the Facebook group.
Am I right in thinking that purple/lilac and blue/dark blue are not intentional unique colours, but rather just variations on on purple and blue?
I’m new to discogs, but finding it to be a blessing and a curse. It seems ridiculously easy for people to submit things that are then accepted – including obvious duplicates – but a lot more difficult to then get those duplicates removed.
