      hello,
My name is Ted, I am 20 years old, my favourite color is Blue, and my favourite mammal are dolphins. I also like toast too.

I have a guiter which I have thrashed for a few years. The frets now have grooves in them caused by fretting the strings over the years (the e,b, ang g strings in particular).

My name is Ted and I am not alone.

Anyway, how much does it cost ($NZ) to get most of the frets replaced. Could I do it myself?
I dont like it when some notes go ‘buzz’ instead of ‘eeeeh’. Gutair-need-fix-now. KABOOM!!

If you want to know what kind of guitar I have, it is an Epiphone Strat copy. Favoured especially by J masics himself. Actually J masics doesn’t favour Epiphones. Also, my guitar is not actually an Epiphone. My friend, who is in a wheelchair and who wears an orange motorcycle crash helmet, said it is a Gibson guitar endorsed by Epiphone.

any ideas? Should I let my friend fix my guitar? (if not, why not?)

      thank you for your help.

        ahem…..
Frets on a guitar require Professional work done on them!
whether its grinding and smoothing or total replacement its not a job for the novice.
course this is depending on how important yer guitar is to YOU…
that Epi is a good guitar-i got one-they rule :)

yes, frets (unless you want to ruin your guitar) should always be done by a tech.
